BUTTERFLIES, ET AL

I am working on the
Black outlining of
my next butterfly...
I am mostly using the
half-stitch method...
crossing on the way back...
********************************
We interrupt this post
for the following important
message:
TA-DAH:

My husband cut 2"
 off my hair this morning!!
He did a great job;))
[And tell me,
why have I been spending $50+
for a haircut????]
πŸ’‡πŸ’‡πŸ’‡

I have not gone to a hair salon since
the shut down...
And
I am not ready to go yet...
Especially with cases on
the uptick now...

Plus .......
I had been searching for a new
hairdresser for over 6 months
before Covid hit--
since my old and trusted
one--who knew my
hair's foibles---
 moved away
😒😒😒😒

I don't want to go to an
UNKNOWN
Salon
now.

I am thankful and
lucky, too,
that my DH
can and will do this
for me;)))))

*************************************
And so,
back to regularly scheduled
posting.....

here is what my
"Stress Sewing"
finished...↑↑↑↑

All the EXTRA
2.5" squares from
a swap 3 years ago...
made into
strips of six each...
I may try to
"Waffle, Waffle"
them
πŸ˜‚
**************************************
AND.....
I have made quite a bit of progress
on my
"Fairy Lights Tree"
Diamond Painting...
just those lower rows
to be finished...

I hope your are all feeling a wonderful
sense of relief and joy today...
I know I am...

Hugs,
Julierose, La Blageuse

  1. I bet your hair looks lovely! I have been cutting my own hair. Love your scrappy goodness, and especially your butterflies!

  2. Lucky you to have an inhouse barber! I haven't been to a salon since Feb. and a now wearing my hair like it was back in the 1990s. I trim the bangs myself.

  5. My husband has been trimming my hair for a while, it's longish so only needs a good level cut and I wear it up
most of the time or fastened back with clips, I can't bear it falling in my face when standing over my cutting table or at the sewing machine.

  6. I haven't had my hair cut 'professionally' since March and have no plans of going anytime soon. Resident Chef has discovered one of his many hidden talents and does such a great job that I plan to keep on this way. You've been working really hard at the Fairy Lights Tree - it looks great!

  7. Guess you really need to trust your hubby to get him to cut your hair!
I'm interested in the waffle block pattern too, may well add to to RSC next year. You have made a good start sewing all those squares together.
