GG's dolly quilts are now
layered up and
ready to pin.
AND
JACK
has binding sewn on front and
pinned over to the back..
And
is ready to be
sewn down...
I will be using black thread
and
doing a zig zag machine finish...
*****************************
On my journaling front
here are a few prepped pages...
I call this one my
"Faux-bo-Hobo"
as I am using an old
Hobonichi Weeks
and ignoring the
planner page set up.
I glue in images, stickers
and
watercolor these pages.
And..
Here are two Junk Journals
I've begun putting together:
they include fabrics sewn
on papers
and random pages to be
bound in ....

Finally,
I managed, with Tom's help to
lift and pour the big bag of soil
for me,
to finally finally
re-pot my two
Christmas Cacti...
My Mom made this mosaic tray and
the woven Christmas cloth
is one we bought on our
trip to Germany in
1989.
(Omgosh-31 years ago now!!;000)
I will be turning this cloth over in
December as it reverses
to deep red with white figures...

So far today, it is partly sunny
but very chilly only 49 degrees (F)
at 11 a.m.
The rest of my day will be
R E S T I N G ...

(It's as important as ever to wear your masks, my friends)
Your dolly quilt photo today shows the scale of your two quilts beautifully - they're larger than I thought from the earlier pics. Just lovely. And I've done the journaling with water color prepped pages - yours are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThose two dolly quilts are gorgeous! I hope you've enjoyed your day resting.
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages are so creative! Love them! The quilts are coming out great. The mosaic tray is a lovely remembrance of your mom. Today was very chilly. We're supposed to get rain and wind tonight. I hope it's not too bad.
ReplyDeleteThe doll quilts are precious. Dhnks is waving mask on from windy city up here.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the excitement when you littles see those little quilts. I loved the little glimpse of the mosaic tray too - that's a great keepsake.
ReplyDelete(just looked out the window and wished I hadn't - white stuff is falling.....yuck).
You've gotten many little projects done or moved forward. Good job. Your mother's mosaic tray is lovely. What a nice reminder of her and her love for you.
ReplyDeleteHooray for almost-finished quilts! I admire artistic journaling and will now look up Hobonichi.
ReplyDeleteI like your journals. What glue do you use to adhere the images? And what are the dimensions of the books? They look very tall, but perhaps they are not so tall and very narrow?
ReplyDeleteYour cactus looks so healthy! Lovely tray and beautiful cloth under it.
