So cute...
I love mug rugs!!

FYI:
those of you knitters out
there, here is my progress
from this:

TO THIS

Not too bad for just a
few rows here
and there, huh?

I lit our little family
N O E L
ceramics last evening...

This was my Grand-mere's
and passed onto my Mom
and then to me...

It is on our bookcase just
 off the
kitchen...

I usually have it on our mantle,
but this year as we moved the
bookcase where our huge desk
used to sit, I thought we'd
enjoy seeing the bookcase
 dressed up
for
the Holidays...
⛄⛄⛄

Tonight will be grinder night
for lunch and supper in one!!

We get Genoa salami
with lettuce, tomato and
provolone cheese
(oil not mayo).
Y U M M Y!!

Reminds me that:

My Tante Beth (pronounced
(Bet in Canadian French)
owned and worked
in a grinder shop
while I was a little girl;
I would just love to go in and
"H E L P" (hahaha)
wrap up the grinders
for customers...

We all spoke French--
even a lot of the customers...
French was my first
language....
AND
sometimes I still dream
en
Francais...

I hope you are all well and enjoying
these days before Christmas or
any Holiday you celebrate...

Hugs,

  1. The bell mug rug is just darling! How special to have decor from your mother and grandmother. This is something super special for the holidays.

  2. Fun ''rings'' pun! I love the NOEL. And I'm inspired by the socks' progress, must finish Mo's sweater ASAP so I too can make socks.

  3. Good to see the sock growing.

Dawn is obviously a very special lady. I feel so sorry for her going through what life has thrown at her now.

NOEL is a lovely family heirloom. It looks good on the bookcase.

  5. I would love to have a decoration of my grandmother's. I did have a lovely red crystal vase but my youngest broke it years ago. I guess I do have her Cameo ring so I shouldn't complain. Things look very festive at your house.

  7. Your friend is brilliant to come up with all the little gifts and how she ties them in to the song.
