Warm & Cozy Holiday Card

Can you believe that the holiday season is here once again?
I'm here today with my latest project for Clear Scraps
I’m calling it a Warm & Cozy Holiday Card, but
it’ll work for any winter occasion.

I am using
and

I start by creating my card base.
Cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2 x 11 inches.
Score at 5 1/2 inches along the 11 inch side.

Since I'm creating a winter card, I die cut a snowflake panel.

The die cut panel is adhered to the card base.

Time to “dress up” the embellishments.
I chose to cover the mittens with a patterned paper and some glitter cardstock.

Trace the mitten shape onto the paper and card stock and cut out.

Paint the string on the mittens and the “Warm & Cozy” chipboard piece.

Adhere the patterned paper and card stock to the mittens.

Add the embellishments to the card.
I backed the “Warm & Cozy” piece with a stitched circle die cut.
A few punched snowflakes were added to the mittens.

Fall Pumpkin Decor Project

As the weather cools and the leaves start to turn, I love creating cozy fall décor pieces that celebrate the warmth of the season. Today I’m sharing how I made this “Gather” Pumpkin Decor using products from Clear Scraps — perfect for your entryway, mantel, or Thanksgiving table!

For this project I am using

Step 1: Prepare the Pumpkin Base

I chose to cover my pumpkin with a patterned paper.

Trace the pumpkin shape onto the patterned paper and cutting it out. Adhere the paper to the wood base using Mod Podge. I also applied the Mod Podge over the top of the paper to seal it.

I did paint the pumpkin stem before adhering the paper.

Once dry, lightly sand the edges for a clean, finished look.

Step 2: Painting

Paint  the “Gather” word and wagon with acrylic paint.

I also used acrylic paint to paint the chipboard maple leaves.

Step 3: Create the Floral Wagon

For the bottom of the pumpkin, I layered the wooden wagon embellishment and filled it with a beautiful cluster of fall florals and pumpkins.

I started by printing some digital florals and fussy cutting.

Adhere some of the florals to the lower portion of the pumpkin with Mod Lodge.

Next, I glued the wagon to the center and adhered some florals over the top of the wagon with glue and foam tape.

The Gather word is glued near the top.

2 of of the maple leaves are adhered to the top.

Step 4: Embellish the Top

To finish off the piece, I added a piece of burlap ribbon tied with twine and the smallest maple leaf.

This gives it a rustic charm and ties the whole fall theme together perfectly.

This project is such a wonderful reminder of the season of gratitude and togetherness. Whether displayed on a wall, door, or shelf, it’s sure to bring a warm, welcoming touch to your fall décor.

Fall Gnome Home Decor

Nothing says fall quite like warm colors, pumpkins, and cheerful sunflowers!

Hey there, I'm posting with my latest project for Clear Scraps.

This charming wood gnome decor piece combines all of those seasonal favorites into one adorable project. Perfect for displaying on a mantle, shelf, or entryway, this gnome will bring a touch of whimsy and autumn warmth into your home.

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Acrylic paints
  • Patterned paper or scrapbook paper (optional)
  • Paintbrushes and/or paint sponges (variety of sizes)
  • Wood glue, craft glue, hot glue
  • Artificial sunflowers, fall floral picks or floral stickers
  • Twine or raffia
  • Sealer or Mod Podge

Assembling the Gnome

I started my project by pulling out the pieces for the gnome.

Choose a pattern paper for the hat or paint if desired.

Trace hat onto the backside of the paper.

Cut tracing and adhere patterned paper to the hat with mod podge

Paint nose and hands

Add color to the body and beard.

Assemble with wood glue

Create the Pumpkin Shaker

Paint the pumpkin back piece.

Adhere 2 of the forms together and attach to the back. Apply color to the 3rd form piece. I used sparkle pens. This will be the top piece.

Add shaker bits. I used a chunky glitter.

Remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic piece. Adhere to the top piece.

Glue the top to the rest of the shaker.

Adhere the shaker to the gnome. Position and glue the hands in place. Attach the nose.

Add the Base

Trace the larger base piece onto the backside of a patterned paper and cut out.

Adhere the paper with mod podge. Paint the smaller base piece.

Glue together with wood glue.

Attach the gnome to the base.

 Embellish

To complete, I added some layered sunflower stickers and twine to the hat and pumpkin shaker.

This fall gnome is now ready to brighten up your seasonal décor! Place it on a shelf, entryway table, or even give it as a handmade gift to someone special.

This DIY gnome project is simple, customizable, and sure to become a favorite part of your autumn decorating tradition.
