New Year Rosettes

Ring in 2026 with a festive handmade touch!  Judy here with  a New Year Rosettes project for CutCardStock. These are a fun and elegant way to add sparkle to your holiday décor.  You can use them as table centerpieces, party picks, or photo-prop accents. Created with shimmering metallic cardstock and layered rosettes from CutCardStock, this project brings together all the glitz and glamour we love about New Year’s Eve.

Materials

DCS Gold Glitter Heavyweight Cardstock

Bright Foil 10 pt Silver Cardstock

Stardream Metallic Onyx 105 lb CardStock

Patterned Papers

Circle, word & number dies

Firework stamps, Versamark, embossing powder

Score board

Glue, low temp glue gun & glue sticks, double sided tape

Dowels

Die Cutting

Die cut circles, 1 large and 1 medium size using Gold Glitter, Silver and Black cardstock.

Rosettes

Cut 3 strips of 1 3/4 x 12 inch pattern paper for each rosette.

Score every 1/2 inch along the 12 inch side of each strip. Accordion fold.

Cut 2 small circles for each rosette.

Assemble

Adhere 3 strips end to end with double sided tape to form a circle. Squeeze the circle together tightly and glue small circle to center on each side.

Add Embellishments to the medium size circles.

Adhere the rosette pieces to the large circles. Layer the medium size, embellished circles over the rosettes.

Glue dowels to each rosette.

Each rosette features its own celebratory element—fireworks, glittered accents, and a bold “2026”—all anchored in a small arrangement that’s easy to customize for your own party theme or color palette.

Rosettes are one of my favorite projects because they look impressively detailed but are incredibly beginner-friendly. Once you get the hang of scoring, folding, and assembling the layers, you can mix and match shapes, textures, and sentiments to create endless variations.

Whether you’re hosting a big celebration or keeping things cozy at home, these New Year Rosettes are a charming way to welcome a fresh start. Cheers to creativity, sparkle, and a fabulous year ahead!

Holiday Cheer Reindeer Card

Bring the warmth of the season to your craft table with this festive winter card featuring a pair of charming reindeer and a peaceful woodland background. Hey there, today I'm sharing this Holiday Cheer Reindeer Card that is perfect for spreading Holiday Cheer!

Supplies Used

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Card Base
Cut a piece of DCS Vanilla Bean Brown Cardstock to create a 5 x 6 1/2 inch top folding card base.

Trim a piece of Bright Foil Gold 10 pt Cardstock to 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches to create a shimmery frame for your design.

Emboss Classic CREST SOLAR WHITE Cardstock with a winter tree embossing folder

Trim this piece down to about 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches. Lightly blend soft blue and pale green distress inks over the background to bring out the embossed details and create a frosty, sky-like effect.

Attach the embossed panel to the metallic layer, then adhere the entire piece to the card base.

2. Assemble the Reindeer
Die cut two reindeer using Lessebo Taupe and DCS Smooth Sand Castle Tan.

Add antlers in DCS Vanilla Bean Brown Cardstock, and small details like the scarf and wreath from Lessebo Dawn Maroon and Lessebo Hunter Green .

4. Finishing
Die cut “Holiday Cheer” from dark brown cardstock to coordinate with the card base. Adhere the sentiment to the top portion of the card.
Use foam tape behind the reindeer for added dimension.

I hope my Holiday Cheer Deer Card has given you a little inspiration for your holiday card crafting!

Fall Woodland Altered Bottle

Autumn is such a magical time to create! With the cozy colors, falling leaves, and woodland creatures, inspiration is everywhere. Judy here, sharing this Fall Woodland Altered Bottle for CutCardStock—a fun upcycled decor piece that’s perfect for the season.

Project Inspiration

I wanted to turn an ordinary glass bottle into a charming woodland scene filled with fall texture and color. The adorable acorn house and playful squirrel make it feel straight out of a storybook, while the sunflowers and leaves bring that unmistakable autumn warmth.

Cardstock Used

Other Supplies Used

Bottle

Tissue paper for bottle wrapping

Decoupage medium or Mod Podge

Foam brush

Spellbinders Acorn Acres Die Set

Fall patterned ribbon

Twine and small embellishments for finishing touches

Glue, foam tape

See my full tutorial below on our YouTube channel.

How It’s Made

  1. Prep the Bottle – Clean your bottle thoroughly and let it dry. Then cover it with a layer of crinkled tissue paper using Mod Podge to add texture. Once dry, paint or ink over it in warm brown tones.
  2. Create the Scene – Die-cut your acorn house, leaves, flowers, and squirrel using your favorite fall-themed dies. Layer and glue them onto the bottle front, arranging them to create a dimensional woodland scene.
  3. Add Details – Wrap the neck of the bottle with twine, add charms or small leaf embellishments, and finish the base with ribbon.

Crafting Tip

Don’t be afraid to mix textures! The combination of crinkled paper, cardstock layers, and twine adds depth and warmth—perfect for fall projects.

Final Thoughts

This Fall Woodland Altered Bottle was such a joy to make. It’s an easy way to recycle something you already have and turn it into a unique piece of seasonal decor. Whether you’re a papercrafter or a mixed-media enthusiast, this project is sure to inspire your next creative adventure!

Elegant Thank You Card Gift Set

Create a small, gift-ready set of handmade thank-you cards presented in a coordinating purple + gold tote. Today sharing my latest project for CutCardStock. This is an Elegant Thank You Card Gift Set. It includes 6 thank you cards, envelopes and a matching little box with a decorative strap. The finished set is perfect for gifting, selling, or keeping on your stationery shelf.

Supplies

Lessebo Colors Aubergine 83lb Cardstock

Cougar Natural 80lb Cardstock

Bright Foil Gold 10 pt Cardstock

Leader Opaque Natural 70lb A2 Discount Envelopes

Border Embossing Folder

Thank You Die

Butterfly Dies

Brads

Adhesive

Create the Cards

Cut 6 pieces of Lessebo Aubergine Cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 11 inches. 6 pieces of Bright Foil Gold 10 Cardstock are cut to 4 x 5 1/4 inches. Cougar Natural Cardstock is cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches times 6.

Score the Aubergine pieces at 5 1/2 inches along the 11 inch side. Fold and burnish with a bone folder to form A2 top folding card bases.

Emboss the left side of the Natural pieces.

Adhere 1/8 x 5 1/8 inch strips of Gold next to the embossing.

Mat the embossed with Gold.

Adhere to card base

Adding Die Cuts

Die cut butterflies and Thank You sentiments.

Assemble the butterflies.

Adhere butterflies and sentiment to cards.

Use a hand punch to create gold embellishments.

Make a Box

Cut 2 pieces of Aubergine cardstock to 9 x 6 inches.

Score both pieces at 1 1/2 & 7 1/2 inches along the 9 inch side.

Turn to the 6 inch side and score at 1 1/2 inches on both.

Fold & burnish scored lines.

Cut where 1 1/2 score lines meet on both sides of the 9 inch sides to form tabs.

Fold tabs up and adhere to form two 1/2 boxes.

Adhere the two 1/2 boxes together overlapping on the bottom and sides to complete.

Decorative Strap & Trim

Cut 2 pieces of the gold cardstock to 2 x 6 inches and score at 1 inch.

Glue these strips over the front and back edges of the box.

I did end up cutting 2 pieces measuring 1 x 1/1/2 inches, scoring at 1 inch and applying over the sides of the box.

To create a strap cut a piece of Aubergine cardstock to 2 x 8 1/2 inches. Cut a 1 x 8 1/2 inch piece of Gold Cardstock.

Adhere the Gold to the center of the Aubergine piece. Punch holes about 1 1/4 inches from both ends in the center of this piece. Attach brads.

Adhere the strap to the back of the box center. I did so with the bottom of the strap about 1/2 inch below the edge of the gold band.

Bring the strap over to the front of the box. Attach velcro to the backside, covering the prongs of the brad.

Line the bottom of the strap up about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the gold band to the front center and apply a little pressure to adhere the velcro piece.

The box is complete.

Add your cards and envelopes.
