This record recalls that quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away". There's nothing left to take away here - the composition and execution is thoughtful and sure-handed, the result focused and powerful. This is black metal long removed from icy Norwegian forests; instead, it trawls shadowy inner currents, where spirits dwell. Abandon hope, but discover oneself, all ye who enter. fyeahmetal
Another cult piece of "true" BM, stripped down to the essential elements, and very early Darkthrone vibe for this Swedish act. Mean and aggressive, the guitar is dominating and defining the grim atmosphere, and the raspy edgy vocals are just perfect for this early 2000 period of trad "primitive" BM, with a slightly better production than lo-fi but not polished either. FFO early Gorgoroth, Svartsyn and Darkthrone, a must have! sashavonkarl74
Absolutely awesome, one of the best albums I've heard in ages, brutal as f***, not got one particular favorite but I do like Fusion. Can't wait for the vinyl. Heathen
