I was floating face-down on the Thames again, I was headed for the sea
I passed under London Bridge and the water tasted pretty good to me
The night had begun for the theatre-crowd, it was full of fury and sound
But I didn’t hear ‘cause I was facing down

I bumped into bottles and soda cans, I gathered them to make myself a nest
