Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge # 49

Happy 13th Birthday Dude!!!
Well when I got back from Skiing on Monday and read this Challenge I new I could handle this one as there are mostly boys and men in my extened family and we are very limited on the female sex. I have two sons 8 and 10 and I always seem to be making male birthday cards for the numerous parties they go to. Alfie's sunglasses have been filled in with Glass Coat to make them stand out and look like Sunglasses.
Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White card stock for the base, navy blue and orange Bazzill.
Design Paper: Bought some this ago both are Scrapbook Wall in stripes and squares
Image: Cool Alfie by Digi Stamp Boutique
Colour Medium: Water Colour Pencils, and Black and White Gel Pens
Embellishments: Ribbon, Round paper curl and brads from my stash
Sentiment: PC generated Boyz R Gross
Tools: Water Brush, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circle and Classic Scalloped Circle, Blue Ink pad, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Traffic Jam, Piece Sign from Hippie Chick font from Cuttlebug.
I've enjoyed looking at all the other male birthday cards and hope there are more masculine challenges to come.
Take care and have a great week.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #56 RED WHITE & BLUE

RED WHITE & BLUE
This weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge the colours are RED WHITE & BLUE. I love these colours especially having boys and making boy cards. This card was made last week for my son Ryan's 8th birthday. He's always walking around the house as though he's playing an Electric Guitar so when I saw this image it was just perfect for him. I took a photo as you do LOL and this has now fitted this challenge. The Electric Guitar has been coated with about 4 coats of Glass Coat to make it shine and also to stand out.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White card stock for the base, Red and Blue Bazzill.
Design Paper: Again from my stash I bought some time ago for another card.
Image: Tyler as a rocker from Pollycraft these images are just so cute.
Colour Medium: Water Colour Pencils, Red and Silver Gel Glitter pens.
Embellishments: Ribbon, Brads and Metal thingies from my stash.
Sentiment: PC generated Tempus Sans ITC.
Tools: Water Brush, Cuttlebug, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Star Punch, 8 punched from Cuttlebug Red Tag Sale. Glass Coat for the Electric Guitar.

Hope everyone has a great week, we're off skiing this weekend before the snow melts approx 4 hour drive from our house.

Take Care

Boy'z Cards

Boy's and Men's cards oh why are they so difficult and why do most of us make feminine cards? Why because they are easier LOL. It true who doesn't like working with pretty pinks, mauve's and purples, burgundy and apple greens. I know I do. In my house hold it's two boys and my husband and of course boy's birthday parties and friends so hence why I have to come up with some good idea's for boy's cards. There a females in my life I can make feminine cards for which I do when the opportunity is called for, but I do have to make loads of masculine cards in advance. LOL

Card Instructions and Supplies:

This is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base

Card Base: White Card Stock

Card: Green Bazzill, Blue Bazzill

Design Paper: Red and White Stripe sorry I've got it from my stash and already cut the name off.

Image: Oliver with his skateboard, from Polly Craft, Little Dumplings

Colouring Medium: Water Coloured Pencils

Embellishmants: Brad, Buttons, Ribbon and waxed thread from my stash

Sentiment: PC generated A.C.M.E EXPLOSIVE font

Tools: Water Brush, Cuttlebug, Happy Birthday and Houndstooth Embossing Folders and Piece sign from Hippie Chick Alphabet set, blue ink pad.

The weekend is nearly here and if I get my house work done this afternoon that gives my more time to craft and put more postings on my blog.

Take care and have a great weekend.
