Ideas for Deal Garden

My clients have purchased a new build property in the seaside town of Deal in Kent. The developers have done a very poor job with the garden which has some awkward level changes. The garden faces south and with its proximity to the sea we will be able to incorporate some exciting planting. A shaded seating area for al fresco dining, a water feature and maybe even a sauna or plunge pool are also on my clients' wish list.

It suddenly struck me that if you cut the points off your picket fence and then painted it black it would immediately transform it into something more oriental-looking. It would also match the bench you like.

Pretty fence design for a Japanese-style garden but too tall for your front garden.
Or you could replace your picket fence which runs along the front boundary with something like this. The side returns will be hidden by the evergreen planting of Camellias and (non-invasive) Bamboo.
