This packet is all about Color Theory using 3 different mediums: crayons, colored pencils and watercolors (or watercolor pencils). In this exploration, the students will learn how different mediums combine to make new colors. They may discover they have a preference for a specific medium.
The six pages are:
1. Color Mixing- Reds
2. Color Mixing- Blues
3. Color Mixing- Yellows
4. Color Mixing- Monochromatic
5. Making Tints and Shades
6. Making Values
There is a blank side panel on the right for the student to draw a tall shape and then fill it in with colors they just learned about on the worksheet.
The easy-to -follow directions are included on each page, however younger children and ELL students will need step-by-step guidance.
When using watercolors, remind students to use water sparingly so as not to soak the paper. If this is a problem, print out the worksheets on card stock or white construction paper.
