I do a test spot then add more water or paint as needed. Then I wipe it back with a cloth. I will wait to see how it looks when it dries and determine if it needs a second coat. It came with glass in the middle originally but I don’t really like glass tables so I replaced it for wood and I did a paint wash using Raw Wash on those boards to make it match the rest of the table. I used oven cleaner to strip this table completely and the color you see if the color I got after oven cleaner . Obsessed with the results !!"
