about
HALLELUJAH.
An ode to the witches that died....
lyrics
Meet me where the two streams meet.
Underneath the old apple tree.
Only wear your birthday suit.
You'll feel the breeze and the fire too.
They burnt you, they tied you to the stake.
But you never gave in even as your heart boiled away.
In the years to come they'll admit they were wrong.
I can't bring you back but I can sing this song.
Hallelujah I cried.
To the witches that died.
Hallelujah I cried.
To the witches that died.
Meet me where the statue stands.
Underneath the old bandstand.
We speak in whispers so you can't hear.
You are big brother and I live in fear.
Hallelujah I cried.
To the witches that died.
Hallelujah I cried.
To the witches that died.

Supporter feedback (plus a Bandcamp pre-hear) persuaded me to take a punt on this one, and I'm really really glad I did. Here's a funny thing, the band reminds me of SAHB, not in sound, but in spirit. Recommended. The word 'meniscus' turns up in far too few modern lyrics sheets, but Ebb bravely do their bit to right that wrong.
Favourite track? Whole damn thing. dudleybam
