Weihnachten wird eingeläutet

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich glaube, ich habe im November zu viele Weihnachtsfilme aus der Hallmark-Schmiede geschaut. Gefühlt jeder Weihnachtsmann in diesen Filmen scheint eine Glocke in der Hand zu halten und zu läuten... Tja, und so ist eine Karte mit diesem Motiv entstanden.

I think I watched too many christmas movies by Hallmark back in november. Each of the Santas in those films seem to ring a little bell they are holding in their hand... Well, and that's how the idea for this card was born.

 

Und weil ich einfach nicht konnte, habe ich eine interaktive Karte gemacht:

 

And because I just couldn't resist I made an interactive card:

 

 Wenn man die Karte hin und her bewegt, dann bewegt sich Santa's Arm mit der Glocke. Mehr zur "Technik" hinter der Karte dann etwas später im Post.

 

When you move the card Santa's arm with the bell moves up and down. A little more about the "technique" behind the card a little later in this post.

 

 Hier habe ich einfach ein Stück grünes Designpapier mit gold-folierten Sternen aus  dem All the Sparkles Paper Pad von LawnFawn für meinen Hintergrund verwendet und es etwas kleiner als meine Kartenbasis zugeschnitten. Von außen her habe ich den Cardstock dann mit Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot gewischt.

 

I simply used a piece of green patterned paper with gold foiled stars from LawnFawn's All the Sparkles paper pad and cut it a bit smaller than my card base. I inked the edges with Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot.

 

 Die Hand von Santa ist mit einer der Stanzen aus dem In the Name of Love Stanzenset von MFT gemacht. Eigentlich macht sie das Victory/Peace Zeichen. Ich habe die beiden ausgestreckten Finger abgeschnitten, etwas gekürzt und dann an passender Stelle wieder auf den Glockengriff geklebt.

Die Glocke ist mit dem Bell Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Eigentlich hat die keinen Griff - ich habe einfach den Griff der Lupe aus dem Magnifying Glass Set von HeroArts kombiniert. 

Ich habe alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Glocke habe ich außerdem mit einem goldenen Aqua Shimmer Pen dekoriert. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich erst die falsche Farbe erwischt und aus Versehen weißlich-silbernen Schimmer aufgetragen habe. Ich bin dann mit dem goldenen Shimmer Pen darüber, aber deswegen ist die Glocke doch schimmriger als geplant ausgefallen. 

Das Fell an Santas Jacke habe ich mit zwei kleinen ausgestanzten Wolken, den Ärmel einfach aus einem Streifen roten Cardstocks gemacht. 

Ich habe die Elemente zusammengeklebt und den Arm dann mit einem kleinen Brad recht locker auf dem Hintergrund befestigt. Das Brad habe ich dann unter dem Rahmen versteckt. Den habe ich mit einer der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gemacht. 

An den Glockengriff habe ich eine Schleife aus rotem Twine gebunden.

Und weil nur der Sternchenhintergrund etwas zu unruhig hinter dem Arm wirkte, habe ich aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock noch einen Tannenbaum ausgestanzt und hinter den Arm in den Rahmen geklebt. Auch den Baum habe ich mit Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot gewischt. Oben auf die Spitze habe ich einen Stern aus weißem Cardstock aufgeklebt.

 

 Santa's hand is made using one of the hands from In the Name of Love by MFT. It originally shows the victory/peace gesture. I cut off the two straight fingers, cut them a bit shorter and glued them onto the handle next to the other fingers so they hold the bell. 

The bell I made with the Bell die set by SimonSaysStamp. It doesn't have a handle - I just used the handle of the magnifying glass from the Magnifying Glass die set by HeroArts.

I cut all pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. The bell I added some shimmer to using a gold Aqua Shimmer Pen. I have to admit that I grabbed the wrong color first and applied some silver-ish white shimmer. I then went over it with the gold shimmer pen but that's why the bell shimmers heavier than planned.

The fur on Santa's jacket I made using two small die cut clouds, the arm I just made  with a strip of red cardstock.

I glued the elements together and attached them with a small brad through the arm, closing it quite loosely. I then have hidden the brad under the frame. I made that from gold mirror cardstock using one of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower.

To the handle of the bell I tied a bow from red twine. 

And because just the star background looked a bit too busy behind the arm I die cut a pine tree from dark green cardstock and glued it behind the arm into the frame. I inked the tree with Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot again. To the tree top I glued a white die cut star. 

 

  Ich fand ein "Ho Ho Ho - merry christmas" den perfekten Text für meine Karte.

Das HoHoHo ist mit der HoHoHo Stanze von  StudioLight gemacht. Ich habe zwei Lagen weißen Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt und darunter noch ein Stanzteil aus weißem Moosgummi gesetzt. So ist es schön stabil und gleichzeitig etwas höher als der Rahmen, so dass Santa's Arm nicht daran hängenbleiben kann.

Das Merry Christmas darunter ist aus dem Vintage Poinsettia Stempelset von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe es weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst, bannerförmig ausgeschnitten und das Banner dann auf das gestanzte HoHoHo geklebt.

 

I thought "ho ho ho - merry christmas" was the perfect text for this card.

The HoHoHo I die cut using the HoHoHo die by StudioLight. I stacked two layers cut from white cardstock and then put one layer cut from white fun foam behind them. This way the text is very sturdy and also a bit higher up on the card, so Santa's arm doesn't get stuck on it.

The merry christmas under it is from Vintage Poinsettia by WhimsyStamps. I white heat embossed it onto red cardstock, cut it into a banner shape and glued the banner onto the die cut HoHoHo. 

 

 Damit der Arm samt Brad gut unter den Rahmen passt und sich noch leicht bewegen lässt, habe ich den Rahmen mit aufgedoppeltem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich unter der Glocke ein paar kleine Stücke des ebenfalls aufgedoppelten Tapes gesetzt, damit sie nicht durchhängt. Zwei dieser Tape-Stücke dienen gleichzeitig als Stopper für den Arm, Santa ist schließlich kein Hammerwerfer... ;)

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

 To make the arm with the brad fit under the frame I adhered that with doubled up foam tape. I also put some small pieces of the doubled up foam behind the bell to make sure it doesn't sack in. Two of those tape pieces also work as a stopper for the arm because I didn't want my Santa ring the bell like a hammer thrower... ;)

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine Spieluhr-Box ohne Musik

Boxen kann man für Weihnachten immer gebrauchen, denn auch die Geschenkverpackung soll natürlich schön aussehen.

Die Idee zur heutigen Box kam mir, als ich kleine 3D-Häuser-Stanzen von Charlie und Paulchen gesehen habe, die auf eine runde Box  aufgeklebt waren. Ich musste sofort an eine Spieluhr denken und dachte mir, es wäre doch toll, wenn sich die Szene auch drehen könnte. Nun, hier tut sie es....

You can never have enough boxes for christmas because I like to have nice packaging for my presents, too. 

I got the idea for this box when I saw a 3D house die set by Charlie und Paulchen, that was glued on top of a round box. I had to think of a music box and thought, how nice it would be, if the scene could turn. Well, here it does...

 

Die Box selbst habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht. Auf die Seitenteile habe ich mit hellgrauer Tinte jeweils breite, etwas unregelmäßige Streifen aufgestempelt. Später habe ich noch einen Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt.

 

The box I made from white cardstock. I used light grey ink to stamp some wider, a bit uneven stripes onto the sides. Later I also added a thin frame with a black fineliner.

 

 Die Deko ist auf allen vier Seiten identisch.

Ich habe jeweils einen Stern, gemacht mit einer älteren Stanze von SimonSaysStamp, aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt. Quer darüber habe ich dann ein dunkelgrünes Banner mit einem weiß embossten "make it merry" aus dem Elegant Christmas 2 Stempelset von WaffleFlower aufgeklebt. Drumherum habe ich einige silberne Perlen aufgeklebt.

Und weil ich die Sterne nicht mittig auf die Boxen kleben konnte, da sonst die Texte darüber hinausgeragt hätten, war die rechte Seite, vor allem oben, viel zu leer. Also habe ich dort noch schräg bzw. bannerförmig eingeschnittene Papierstreifen in zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen aufgeklebt und mit einem silbernen Sternkonfetti dekoriert. 

 

The decoration is identical on all four sides.  

I die cut a star from dark grey cardstock using an older die by SimonSaysStamp. Across it I put a dark green banner, onto that I white heat embossed a "make it merry" from Elegant Christmas 2 by WaffleFlower. Around the star I put some silver pearls.

I wasn't able to adhere the stars into the center of the sides because the text banners would have gone over the edges of the box. That's why the top right of the box seemed too empty. So I cut two strips from different shades of green cardstock, cut them into a bannner shaper/off slanted and adhered them there. As decoration I added a silver star confetti.

Auch den Deckel habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht.  

Um die Szene drehen zu können, habe ich in jede Seite des Deckels einen Schlitz geschnitten, durch den habe ich einen ausgestanzten Kreis gesteckt. 

Auch aus dem Deckel habe ich einen Kreis ausgestanzt, darunter befindet sich ein weiterer, etwas größerer Kreis aus grauem Cardstock, den ich auf dem großen Kreis mit 3D Tape angeklebt habe. Durch den großen Kreis und ein Cardstock-Quadrat, etwas kleiner als der Deckel, habe ich ein Brad gesteckt. Und damit der Deckel von innen schön aussieht, habe ich noch einen etwas kleineren, nur 0,5 cm hohen Deckel gemacht und innen in die Box geklebt. 

 

 I made the lid from white cardstock, too.

To be able to turn the scene I cut a slit into each side of the lid and put a larger circle through it.

I also cut a circle out of the lid, under it I placed another, slightly larger circle cut from grey carstock. I adhered that with foam tape to the large circle. I put a brad through the large circle and a cardstock square, that I cut a bit smaller than the lid. And to make sure the inside of the lid looks nice, too, I created another, slightly smaller lid, that's only 0,5 cm tall, and glued that inside the lid.

 

Auf den grauen Kreis habe ich erst Joy to World aus dem Stempelset Elegant Christmas 2 von WaffleFlower weiß aufembosst und es dabei an die Rundung des Kreises angepasst. Neben den Text habe ich  jeweils ein silbernes Sternkonfetti geklebt. Auf den Rest des Kreises habe ich teilweise Schneepaste aufgetupft und darauf kam dann meine Szene.

 

 Onto the grey circle I first white heat embossed a Joy to the World from the Elegant Christmas 2 stamp set by WaffleFlower, bending the stamp to make its shape match the circle. To both sides of the text I glued a silver star confetti. Onto parts of the rest of the circle I dabbed some white snow paste and then glued my scene on top.

 

Die Häuser sind eigentlich kleine Boxen mit Anhänger von Magnolia. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Fenster grau umrahmt und auch die Türen grau angemalt. Hinter die Fenster habe ich hellblauen Cardstock geklebt. Auf die Dächer habe ich gefaltete Streifen dunkelgrauen Cardstocks geklebt.

Die kleineren Häuser habe ich mit einem Kranz, das größere mit einer Türgirlande dekoriert und jeweils eine hellblaue Schleife angebracht. Die Türgriffe habe ich aus kleinen hellblauen Perlen gemacht, von denen befindet sich dann auch jeweils eine auf den Schleifen.

Und der Tannenbaum in der Ortsmitte ist mit dem kleinen Tannenbaum von Farbton gemacht. Auf die Spitze des Tannenbaums habe ich einen Stern geklebt, der aus sechs aneinander geklebten, mittig gefalteten Sternen besteht.

Ich habe alle Teile ordentlich mit Schneepaste betupft und dann alles auf den grauen Kreis geklebt.

Vor die beiden kleineren Häuser habe ich jeweils noch eine Straßenlaterne gesetzt.

 

The houses are originally little boxes with tabs to hang them on the tree or a gift. The dies are by Magnolia. I cut them from white cardstock, drew a grey frame around the windows and also colored the doors grey. Behind the windows I glued some light blue cardstock. I glued folded strips of dark grey cardstock onto the roofs.

 The smaller houses I decorated with a wreath, the larger with a garland around the door and also added a light blue bow to the decorations. The door knobs I created from tiny light blue pearls and glued one onto each of the bows, too.

The christmas tree  in the center of this little town is made using the small tree by Farbton. Onto the top I glued a star, that I made from six stars that I folded in the center.

I dabbed snow paste onto all the pieces and then glued them onto the grey circle. In front of the two smaller houses I added small stree lights.

 

 Die Gärten hinter den Häusern sahen noch etwas nackig aus. Also habe ich noch ein paar winzige Gartenzäune und kleine Tannenbäume ausgestanzt, ebenfalls beschneit und dort aufgeklebt. Die Stanzen sind, ebenso wie die kleinen Straßenlaternen, aus einem Set von Action.

 

The back yards of the houses looked a bit plain. So I cut some tiny fences and small trees, covered them with snow and glued them behind the houses. The dies and also the small street lights die are from a die set by Action.

 

SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im November

Jeden Monat gibt es von SimonSaysStamp eine Challenge auf Instagram. Diesen Monat lautet das Thema Handmade Holiday Magic. Es geht also um Karten zum Thema Weihnachten. Und auch wenn ich so ziemlich jede Karte, die ich Euch die nächste Zeit hier auf meinem Blog zeige, als Beiträg nehmen könnte, so finde ich es doch immer schön, eine Karte extra für die Challenge zu machen. Alles andere fühlt sich immer ein wenig wie cheaten an. Und hier ist sie nun, meine Karte für die November-Challenge.

Every month SimonSaysStamp does a challenge on Instagram. This month the theme is Handmade Holiday Magic. So it's all about christmas cards. I could use any of the cards I'll share with you those coming weeks as my entry but I always like to make an extra card, just for the challenge. Everything else feels like cheating to me. And here it is, my entry for the november challenge.

 

Den Hintergrund habe ich aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gemacht. In den habe ich erst mit einem Prägefolder von Charlie und Paulchen den Text Fröhliche Weihnachten eingeprägt. Die Ränder habe ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt und dann perlweißes Gilding Wax auf die erhabenen Stellen der Prägung aufgetragen. So kann man sie besser sehen, gleichzeitig schadet ein wenig Schimmer auf einer Weihnachtskarte natürlich nie. Anschließend habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe auf den Hintergrund gespritzt. 

 

The background is made from dark grey cardstock. I first used an embossing folder by Charlie und Paulchen to emboss lines with a merry christmas text into the cardstock. I inked the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot and then dabbed some pearl white Gilding Wax onto the raised areas. This brings out the text better, and some shimmer never hurts a christmas card. Then I also splattered some white acrylic paint onto the background.

 

 In die süßen Weihnachtsmänner habe ich mich sofort verliebt. Habt Ihr bemerkt, dass es sogar drei verschiedene sind? Und einer schaut freundlicher und fröhlicher als der andere. 

Sie sind mit dem Santa Faces Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp gemacht, der mit passenden Stanzen kommt. So kann man die Köpfe erst stanzen, dann prägen. Natürlich kann man auch ein komplettes Stück Cardstock embossen - dann sind neben den Weihnachtsmännern  noch Schneeflocken in den Cardstock geprägt. Allerdings passte die Anordnung für das, was mir vorschwebte, nicht. Also habe ich nur die Gesichter benutzt.

Ich habe alle drei Gesichter mit Copics coloriert und dann mit Polychromos einige Details hervorgehoben. Die Augen habe ich mit einem braunen Fineliner nachgemalt.

Aus schräg rot-weiß gestreiftem Designpapier, das mich and Zuckerstangen erinnert, habe ich drei H ausgestanzt, eines davon ist etwas niedriger als die anderen beiden. Die schwarzen Schattenlagen habe ich per Hand geschnitten. 

Mit den H und den Santa-Köpfen habe ich dann jeweils das Wort HO geschrieben und sie untereinander auf dem Hintergrund angeordnet.

Mit der mittleren Größe der Simple Wavy Banners von LawnFawn habe ich aus hellgrauem Cardstock ein Banner ausgestanzt und dann mit schwarzer Tinte einen Weihnachtsgruß aufgestempelt. Der ist aus dem Here We Go A-Waddeling Set von LawnFawn und ist bereits kurvig gestaltet. Ich musste nur die Enden ein wenig verbiegen, so dass sie zu den Rundungen des Banners passen. Das Banner mit dem Gruß habe ich dann quer über die Karte, über und unter den Weihnachtsmännern, aufgeklebt.

 

As soon as I saw those cute Santas I fell in love with them. Did you notice that there are three different ones? And they all look so friendly and happy.

I made those using the Santa Faces embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp, that also comes with a matching die. You can first die cut the heads and then emboss them. Of course you can also emboss a whole card sized piece of cardstock - then there are  not only the Santa faces but also some snowflakes embossed into your cardstock. But the way those faces are arranged on the folder didn't work with what I had in mind, so I only used the faces.

I colored all faces with Copics, then added some details with Polychromos. To draw/trace the eyes I used a brown fineliner.

From patterned paper with slanted red and white stripes, that reminds me of candy canes, I die cut three Hs, one of them a bit smaller than the other ones. I cut the black shadow layers behind the letters with my scissors.

I combined one H and one head to write the word HO three times and arranged those on the background. 

Using the middle sized die from the Simple Wavy Banners by LawnFawn I cut a banner from light grey cardstock and stamped a christmas greeting onto it using black ink. The text is from Here We Go A-Waddeling by LawnFawn and already designed curvy. I only had to bend the ends a bit to make the text fit perfectly onto the banner. I glued the banner with the greeting across the card, placing it under and above the Santa faces.

 

 Ich habe die Buchstaben direkt auf den Hintergrund, die Santas und das Banner mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Nur hinter dem Santa in der Mitte befindet sich dickeres 3D Tape. 

Rund um die Motive habe ich dann einige Sterne aus weißem Cardstock aufgeklebt und dann das Kartenpanel auf einen weißen Kartenrohling aufgeklebt.  

 

I glued the letteres directly onto the background, the Santas and the banner I backed with foam tape. There's thick foam tape behind the Santa in the center only.

I added some stars, cut from white cardstock, to the background and then glued the card panel onto a white card base.

 

Weihnachtskarte mit Zug

Heute habe ich eine Weihnachtskarte für Euch, für die eigentlich keine Weihnachtsprodukte  zum Einsatz kamen. Und trotzdem ist sie absolut weihnachtlich, zumindest für alle, die den Polar Express kennen.

Today I have a christmas card for you, that I didn't use any specific christmas product for. And still it's very christmas-sy, at least to all, that know the Polar Express.

 

Meine Große hat mir vor einiger Zeit ein Bild geschickt, auf dem sie gerade den Film Polar Express schaut. Der gehört bei uns jedes Jahr zum Pflichtprogramm. Ja, sie war etwas früh dran, aber es gibt nichts besseres, um in Weihnachtsstimmung zu kommen. Und das hat mich dann dazu inspiriert, diese Karte zu machen. 

 Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans und Chipped Sapphire gewischt. Dann habe ich mit dem Tall Pines Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp die Tannen im Hintergrund eingeprägt. Damit die besser zur Geltung kommen, habe ich mit einem Brayer Versafine Clair Twilight auf die erhabenen Bäume aufgetragen. 

Ich habe die Bäume mit Papier abgedeckt und nur auf den Himmel golene Metallic-Watercolor als Sterne aufgespritzt. 

Für den winterlichen Look habe ich die Bäume dann noch beschneit, und sie damit, zugegebenermaßen, relativ abgedeckt. Ich habe mit einem Versamark Marker Embossingtinte aufgetragen und dann weißes Puff-Embossingpulver aufgestreut. Das pufft beim Erhitzen auf und sieht wie Schnee aus, ist aber durch den Versamark-Stift sehr viel genauer aufzutragen als z. B. Schneepaste. 

 

My oldest sent me a pic a little ago where she was watching the Polar Express movie. It's a must for us every year. Yes, she might have been a bit early but is there anything better to get in a christmas mood? And it inspired me to make this card.

For the background I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. Then I used the Tall Pines embossingfolder by SimonSaysStamp to emboss the pines into the cardstock. To make them more noticable I used a brayer to apply some Versafine Clair Twilight only onto the raised areas.

I covered the trees with paper and splattered gold metallic watercolor as stars only onto the sky.

For the wintery touch I covered the trees with snow, and, I admit it, covered those up pretty much. I used a Versamark pen to apply some embossing ink and then put White Puff embossing powder into the ink. It puffs up when it gets heated up and looks like snow. And with the Versamark pen it is a lot easier to apply it only in the areas you want to have covered with snow, unlike other things like snow paste.

 

 Brücke und Zug sind aus einem Stanzenset, das ich vor kurzem bei Amazon erstanden habe. Und nein, es ist keine Kopie eines bekannten Herstellers - es gibt auch "Billighersteller", die ihre eigenen Designs habe. Und da gehe ich immer auf absolut Nummer sicher, bevor ich so ein Set bestelle.

Ich habe die Brücke, die eigentlich viel länger ist, aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt. Sie ist eigentlich niedriger, ich habe die Pfeiler per Partial Diecutting verlängert. Ich habe die Brücke dreimal gestanzt und einmal die komplette Brücke, einmal nur die Bögen und einmal die Teile, die ich dann dunkler coloriert habe, verwendet. Alles habe ich mit Copics schattiert und mit dünnem 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt. 

Per Hand habe ich noch Schattenteile für die Bögen aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und hinter die Brücke geklebt, um ihr etwas Dimension zu geben.

Die Tannen im Vordergrund sind aus einem Stempelset von SU. Ich habe sie mit Versafine Clair Twilight abgestempelt und dann mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Ja, das war eine ziemliche Fitzelei, aber das Ergebnis wert. 

Auch auf die gestempelten Bäume und die Brückenteile habe ich dann das White Puff als Schnee aufgetragen.

Die Teile des Zugs habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Für die silbernen Teile habe ich einen Gelstift verwendet. Und den Rauch habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt. Dafür habe ich den Dampf, der eigentlich aus dem Zauberkessel des A Little Spooky Stanzensets von HoneyBeeStamps aufsteigt, verwendet. Ich habe ihn aufs Gesicht gedreht und an einer schmalen Stelle schräg abgeschnitten. So passt er prima zum Zug - auch wenn mein Mann behauptet, er sieht ein wenig wie ein Eichhörnchen aus... ;)

Hinter die Fenster des Zugs habe ich gelben Cardstock geklebt und sie mit einer dünnen Schicht Glossy Accents überzogen. Und natürlich brauchte auch der Zug Schnee auf den Dächern. 

 

Bridge and train I made with a die set, that I got from Amazon a little ago. And no, it's not any kind of knock off of a known brand - there are also others, that create their own designs. And I always make that sure before buying a set like that.

I die cut the bridge, that's originally a lot longer, from light grey cardstock. It's also smaller so I did some partial diecutting to make the piers taller. I die cut the bridge three times and used the whole piece, from the next just the arches and from the last one the pieces that I colored a darker grey. I shaded all the parts with Copics and put the bridge together with thin foam tape.

I also used my scissors to cut some shadow pieces from dark grey cardstock and glued those behind the bridge to give it some dimension.  

The pine trees in the foreground are made using a stamp from a set by SU. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Twilight and then cut it out with my scissors. Yes, that was real fussy cutting but absolutely worth the result.

I covered the trees and the bridge with the White Puff as snow again.

The train parts I cut from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. I used a silver gel pen for the silver pieces. And the smoke I cut from vellum. I used the steam, that's comes out of the cauldron from the A Little Spooky die set by HoneyBeeStamps, here. I turned it face down and cut it off at an angle in a spot, where it is as thin as possible. Now it fits great behind/above the train - even with my husband saying it looks like a squirrel... ;)

I put yellow cardstock behind the windows of the train and covered them with a thin layer of Glossy Accents. And of course the train needed some snow, too.

 

 Oben auf den Himmel, direkt über dem Zug, habe ich dann meinen Text aufembosst. Natürlich hatte ich nichts, das irgendwie zum Polar Express passte. Aber dieser Text aus dem Wonder of Christmas Set von HoneyBeeStamps passt genauso gut, finde ich. 

Ich habe ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst. 

 

Onto the sky, right above the train, I added the text of my card. Of course I didn't have anything Polar Express specific. But I think this text from Wonder of Christmas by HoneyBeeStamps works wonderfully as well.

I white heat embossed it directly onto the background.

 

 Ich habe alle Elemente auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dabei vor und hinter der Brücke jeweils eine Lage Schnee, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, eingefügt. Dann habe ich mit weißer Acrylfarbe über alles dicke Schneeflocken gespritzt.

Auf die Zugteile und auch die Spitzen der Tannen im Vordergrund habe ich dann noch kleine silberne Sternkonfetti geklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued all the elements onto the background and added a layer of snow, cut from white cardstock, behind and in front of the bridge. Then I used white acrylic paint to splatter snowflakes over the whole scene.

I glued tiny silver star confetti onto the train and also the tips of the trees in the foreground.

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine Shaker Flap Karte - oder so...

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, startete eigentlich als Geburtstagskarte, also zumindest die Idee. Und während ich die Utensilien dafür zusammengesucht habt, fiel mir das Big Bat Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp in die Hand, mit dem die Idee auch umsetzbar war. Ich habe hin und her überlegt und dann entschieden, einfach beide Varianten zu machen. Weil ich Euch die Geburtstagskarte noch nicht zeigen kann - Feind liest mit und so - seht Ihr heute eine weitere Halloweenkarte. Und weil das Kind ja einen Namen braucht, habe ich sie einfach mal Shaker Flap Karte genannt. 

 

Hello everyone!

The card that I'm sharing with you today started as a birthday card, at least the idea. And while I was taking out the supplies for it I came across the Big Bat die set by SimonSaysStamp, that's also perfect for this idea. I was torn and then decided to simply make both versions. I can't share the birthday card with you yet - "enemy is watching" -  I am showing you another Halloween card today. And since the card needed a name I just call it a Shaker Flap card.

 

Zum Hintergrund der Karte verrate ich Euch gleich noch mehr...

 

I will tell you more about the background of this card a little later in the post...

 

 Besagte Big Bat Stanze stanzt eine halbe Fledermaus. Ich habe sie zweimal aus grauem Carstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt.  Das Innenleben eines der Teile habe ich mit der Schere herausgeschnitten und dabei einen ungefähr 0,5 cm breiten Rand stehenlassen. Dieses Teil habe ich mit Acetate hinterlegt und mit 3D Tape auf die vollflächige Fledermaus geklebt. Dabei habe ich gelb-transparente und blaue Kügelchen sowie einige Folienkonfetti in blau und gold mit eingefügt und so einen Fledermaus-Shaker gestaltet.

Das hey, boo ist ebenfalls im Big Bat Set enthalten. Ich habe die Schattenlage aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Wild Honey am Rand ein wenig gewischt. Den Text an sich habe ich dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und auf der Schattenlage angebracht. Den Text habe ich dann oben auf den Shaker geklebt und drumherum drei Sterne aus gelbem Cardstock verteilt.

 

Said Big Bat die cuts half of a bat. I cut it twice from grey cardstock, shaded them with Distress Ink Black Soot and cut out the inside of one of the bats, leaving about a 0,5 cm wide frame.  I backed this bat frame with acetate and adhered it with foam tape, putting tiny transparent-yellow and blue beads and some gold and blue foil confetti inside to create my bat shaker.

The hey,boo is also a die from this set. I cut the shadow layer from yellow cardstock and inked the edges with Distress Ink Wild Honey. The text I cut three times from white carstock and glued those onto the shadow layer. Then I adhered the text on top of the shaker and added three yellow stars.

 

 Der Fledermaus-Shaker lässt sich dann zu Seite klappen. Ich habe auch die Rückseite der Fledermaus schwarz gewischt und an der Kante eine Lasche eingefasst. Die habe ich dann auf der Rückseite meiner Karte angeklebt.

 

The bat shaker can be opened to the side. I inked the back of the bat black, too. I used a cardstock strip to create a hinge and glued that to the back of my card base.

 

 Der Hintergrund mit dem Mond ist teilweise hinter dem Shaker zu sehen - wenn der dann aufgeklappt ist, dann kommt darunter ein weiterer Text zum Vorschein.

Ich habe hier ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks genommen und mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. Nur an den Rändern habe ich mit grauer Tinte den Ghoulish Greetings Background von MFT aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich goldene Metallic-Watercolor auf den Cardstock gespritzt.

Auf den Bereich, den ich am hellsten gelassen habe, habe ich dann eine große Mondsichel geklebt. Die ist mit der Over the Moon Stanze von MFT aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Wild Honey schattiert. 

Mit weißem Embossingpulver habe ich das Happy Halloween aus dem Ghostly Greetings Set von MFT direkt auf den Hintergrund embossed. Der kleine Text darunter ist aus dem Itty Bitty Boos Set von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Die Texte habe ich so angebracht, dass sie bei geschlossener Karte von der Fledermaus verdeckt werden. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige Fledermäuse, die auch im Big Bat Set enthalten sind, sowie einige weiße Perlen auf der Karte verteilt. 

 

The background with the moon is partly visible behind the shaker - when it is opened, another greetings becomes visible. 

I used  a piece of light blue cardstock here and inked it with Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Only onto the edges I stamped the Ghoulish Greetings Background by MFT using grey ink. Then I splattered gold metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

Onto the area I kept the lightest I adhered a large crescent moon. I die cut it from yellow cardstock using the Over the Moon die by MFT and inked it with Wild Honey.

Using white embossing powder I white heat embossed the Happy Halloween from Ghostly Greetings by MFT directly onto the background. The smaller text is from Itty Bitty Boos by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I placed the texts so they are covered by the bat when the card is closed.

As decoration I added a few small bats, that are also included in the Big Bat die set, and a few white pearls.

 

 Und auch wenn das Bild hier etwas komisch wirkt, möchte ich es Euch dennnoch zeigen. Denn auch der Hintegrund ist eine Klappe, die sich dann zur anderen Seite öffnen lässt. Hier ist dann jede Menge Platz für einen persönlichen Text. 

Damit die Karte innen gleichfarbig ist, habe ich auch das Teil, an dessen Rückseite ich die beiden Klappen angeklebt habe, aus dem hellblauen Cardstock geschnitten, aus dem ich auch den Hintergrund mit dem Mond gestaltet habe und dessen Rückseite man dann im Inneren sieht. 

Und weil es für mich einfach dazugehört, habe ich alles noch auf ein Stück weißen Cardstocks geklebt. Der sorgt dann auch für den weißen Rand rund um die Karte.

 

And even if this picture looks a bit strange I want to share it with you. Because also the right side with the background is a flap, that openes to the other side. Inside there's lots of room for a personal message. 

To make the card uniform inside I cut the cardstock, to which I adhered both flaps on the backside, from the same light blue cardstock, that I used for the background with the moon. On the inside you see the back of it.

And since it just looks more finished to me I adhered everything to a piece of white cardstock, that also makes the white border around the card. 

 

 Und hier sieht man dann noch, für wieviel Tiefe der Fledermaus-Shaker auf der Vorderseite sorgt. Dass auch der Hintergrund eine Klappe ist, fällt dafür kaum auf.

 

And here you can see, what dimension the bat shaker adds to the front. That the background is another flap is hardly visible.

 

Farbe trifft Stempel #4

 

 

"Es war einmal" ist das Thema für die 4. Farbe trifft Stempel Challenge - es wird also  märchenhaft. Und ich musste feststellen, dass ich tatsächlich keinerlei Stempel zu dem Thema mehr habe, zumindest nicht von deutschen Herstellern. Also ist das Thema bei mir ein wenig versteckter auf der Karte integriert.

 

"Once upon a time" is the theme for the Farbe trifft Stempel challenge #4. I realized, that I have not one single fairytale related stamp left - at least not form a german brand. So the theme is a bit subtle on my card.

 

 Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück hellgrünen Cardstocks mit dem Feather Spiral Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp geprägt - das Muster erinnert mit so schön an Farne und Wald. Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich auch noch einen der Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window von LawnFawn geschnitten. Mit dem Cutter habe ich dann ein Fenster, etwas größer als der gestitchte Rand im weißen Cardstock, aus dem Hintergrund geschnitten.

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich jeweils ein wenig mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. Anschließend habe ich den weißen Cardstock mit dem gewellten Fenster zwischen die beiden grünen Cardstockteile gesetzt.

Mit einem der A2 Thin Rectangle Frames von HoneyBeeStamps habe ich noch einen dünnen Rahmen aus matt-goldenem Cardstock gestanzt und um die Fenster herum geklebt.

 

For the background I dry embossed a piece of light green cardstock with the Feather Spiral embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp - the pattern reminds me ferns and the woods. 

From white cardstock I also die cut one of the  Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window by LawnFawn. Using my paper cutter I cut a window into the green cardstock, making it slightly larger than the stitched frame on the white cardstock piece.

I inked the green pieces with a bit of  Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss and splattered white acrylic paint onto it. Then I glued the white cardstock between the two green pieces.

Using the A2 Thin Rectangle Frames by HoneyBeeStamps  I cut a thin frame from matte gold metallic cardstock and glued it around the window in my background.

 

 Star meiner Karte ist natürlich der Frosch, der durch die Rahmen schaut. Und natürlich ist es der Froschkönig! Ich habe hier das Set Sei kein Frosch von Stampcorner benutzt.

Und zur Abwechslung habe ich das Motiv mal mit den Zig Real Brush Markern coloriert. Ich habe in No-Line Coloring Technik gearbeitet und das Motiv dafür mit dem NoLine Stempelkissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt.  Die Flecken an Kopf und Körper habe ich mit einem dunkelgrünen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. 

Ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen und habe dem Frosch mit roten Polychromos einen roten Kussmund verpasst... Den und die Augen habe ich dick mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Und damit die Augen nicht irgendwie untergehen, habe ich rundherum noch einen grünen Rand aufgemalt.

Ein Froschkönig braucht natürlich eine Krone! Die hier ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Set Frog Prince von Spellbinders aus matte-goldenem Metallic Cardstock gemacht. Die kleinen Ausstanzungen habe ich rot hinterlegt.

Nach dem Ausschneiden habe ich den Froschkörper hinter, den Kopf auf die Fenster geklebt.

Über dem Frosch habe ich dann noch eine Sprechblase angebracht. Die habe ich einmal aus dunkelgrünem, einmal aus weißem Cardstock mit einer Stanze von MamaElephant gestanzt und auf den dunkelgrünen Cardstock ein Küss mich aus dem Liebesmöwen-Set von Create a Smile weiß aufembosst. 

 

Of course this frog is the star of my card - and yes, of course it's the frog prince! I used the Sei kein Frosch stamp set by Stampcorner here.

For a change I colored the image with my Zig Real Brush Markers, doing no-line coloring. I stamped it with the NoLine Ink by InkOn3. The speckles on the frog's head and body I re-drew with a drak green Glaze pen.

I just couldn't resist and gave the frog some deep red kissy lips, made with Polchromos.  I covered the lips and the frog's eyes with a thick layer of Glossy Accents. And to make sure those eyes don't get lost I drew a thin green line around them. 

Of course a frog prince needs a crown! This one I die cut from matte gold metallic cardstock using a die from the Frog Prince set by Spellbinders. The small cut outs I backed with red cardstock. 

After cutting the frog out I glued his body behind, his head on top of the window.  

Above the frog's head I added  a speech bubble. I cut it from dark green and white cardstock using a die by MamaElephant and white heat embossed a "kiss me" from Liebesmöwen by Create a Smile onto the green speech bubble.

 

 Natürlich befindet sich wieder (dünnes) 3D Tape zweichen den einzelnen Lagen des Hintergrunds - den Kopf des Frosches habe ich sogar noch etwas stärker hinterlegt, so dass er förmlich aus dem Rahmen herauszukommen scheint.

Mit Stanzen aus dem Set Mushroom and Ferns von HeroArts habe ich zwei Farne aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Und unten auf der Karte war Platz für einen weiteren Text - eigentlich eher als Fortsetzung des "küss mich" gedacht. Den Text hatte ich mir vor über 10 Jahren mal selbst gelasert. Aber er passte hier einfach zu gut.

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar weiße Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course there's (thin) foam tape between the different layers of the background. I put even more tape behind the frog's head so he really seems to put it out of the frame. 

Using dies from Musroom and Ferns by HeroArts I die cut two ferns from dark green cardstock and adhered them to the background. And at the bottom of the card there was room for another text, that kind of finishes the "kiss me" inside the speech bubble. The text means "I am a cute bewitched prince". I lasered this stamp myself over 10 years ago but it was so perfect on this card.

I added a few white enamel dots as decoration, then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

Halloween rückt immer näher, dabei bin ich gerade so schön drin im Halloween-Kartenmodus. Also nutze ich die kurze Zeit, die mir noch bleibt, und zeige Euch heute eine weitere Halloween-Karte.

Halloween is coming closer but I am in a Halloween card frenzy. So I am making the best of the little time I have left until the 31st and share another Halloween card with you today.

 

Die Karte ist eigentlich relativ einfach, aber ich liebe sie. 

Ich habe hier den Spooky Eyes Stempel von SimonSaysStamp verwendet. Es gab mit dem diesjährigen Stamptember-Release einen Stencil mit identischem Motiv. Bis ich bestellt habe, war der aber ausverkauft. Also habe ich stattdessen den etwas älteren Spooky Eyes Stempel bestellt.

Ich habe ihn hier einmal mit schwarzem Memento und auf ein anderes Stück Cardstock mit Versafine Clair Nocturne gestempelt. Das eine ist natürlich Copic-geeignet, das Versafine macht aber eine super satten, dunklen Abdruck.

Bei dem Abdruck mti Memento habe ich dann in einige der Augen grüne Iris gemalt und die Pupillen mit einem schwarzen Glaze-Pen nachgemalt. 

Die Augen, die ich auf dem ersten Abdruck coloriert habe, habe ich dann aus dem zweiten Abdruck ausgeschnitten. 

Den Abdruck mit den Ausschnitten habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf den colorierten Abdruck geklebt. So liegen die colorierten Augen tiefer.

 

The card is quite simple, but I love the outcome.

I used the Spooky Eyes stamp by SimonSaysStamp here. In this year's Stamptember release they had a stencil with the exact same pattern but when I placed my order this was sold out. So I ordered the a bit older Spooky Eyes background stamp instead.

I stamped it once with Memento and onto a different sheet of cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne. The first is great for Copic coloring, the Versafine makes such a dark and flawless image. 

I used Copics to draw green irises onto a few eyes on the image stamped with Memento and used a black Glaze Pen to make the pupils extra dark.

The eyes, that I had colored on the first image, I cut out of the second one. Then I glued the one with the cut outs with foam tape onto the colored image. Now the colored eyes lay in the back.

 

 Ich fand es fast ein wenig schade, einen Teil der Karte mit einem Motiv zu verdecken, aber was muss, das muss. 

Ich habe verschiedene Stempel aus den Itty Bitty Stempelsets von MFT kombiniert und die Texte weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Für das "watching" habe ich ein "witching" abgewandelt, deswegen sitzt das A hier etwas tiefer. 

Das Eek habe ich mit dem Mix and Mingle Alphabet von WhimsyStamps aus grünem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. 

Ich habe die verschiedenen Texte auf Vellum geklebt und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Hätte hinter das "watching" ein "you" gehört? Wenn alles so zusammengesetzt ist, finde ich fast, ja. Aber dafür ist es zu spät. 

Den Text habe ich dann wieder mit 3D Tape auf die Karte gekelbt und dabei versucht, so wenig Auge wie möglich zu verdecken. Rund um den Text habe ich dann ein paar grüne Perlen als Deko verteilt.

 

It felt a bit sad to cover part of the image with a text, but the card just needed one.

I combined different stamps from the Itty Bitty series by MFT to write my text and white heat embossed them onto black cardstock. To make the "watching" I replaced the I in "witching" with an A, I just didn't get it perfect in line so it's  a bit further down. 

The Eek I die cut from green glitter cardstock using the Mix and Mingle Alphabet by WhimsyStamps. 

I glued the different texts onto vellum and cut them out with my scissors. Is there a "you" missing behind the "watching"? When the texts are put together like that, I think it does. But it's too late for that now.

I adhered the texts with foam tape to the card, trying to cover as little of the eyes as possible. Around the text I added some green pearls as decoration. 

 

Und hier seht Ihr besser die verschiedenen Ebenen, auf denen sich die Augen befinden. Wenn man die Karte in Händen hält, wirkt das noch mal anders.

SimonSaysStamp IG challenge

Auch diesen Monat gibt es eine Instagram Challenge von SimonSaysStamp. Und weil Stamptember ist, lautet das Thema ganz einfach "Stempel". Na, da sind die Möglichkeiten ja endlos - und im Prinzip könnte ich fast jede meiner Karten diesen Monat einreichen. Aber ich empfinde das irgendwie immer als Cheaten und habe somit extra eine Karte nur für die Challenge gemacht.

Also this month there is an Instagram challenge by SimonSaysStamp. And since it's Stamptember they simply picked "stamps" as the theme. Well, that leaves endless possibilities - and I could simply enter with nearly any card I made  this month. But to me that alsways feels like cheating and so I made an extra card, just for the challenge.

 

Ihr habt es bestimmt schon bemerkt, hier kam wieder der große Kürbis-Hintergrund von SimonSaysStamp zum Einsatz. Ich glaube, der kam letztes Jahr heraus und ich war sofort verliebt. Er war dann aber ausverkauft und mit den doch längeren Versandzeiten aus den USA war mir, als er dann wieder auf Lager war, einfach nicht mehr nach herbstlichem Basteln. Dieses Jahr habe ich ihn mir dann rechtzeitig bestellt und jetzt will er natürlich benutzt werden!

Ich habe hier den Hintergrund gold auf ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock  embosst und dann alles ganz grob mit Distress Ink Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire und ein wenig Fired Brick gewischt. Und dann habe ich alles dick mit Wasser besprüht. Ich bin ja nicht der Typ für so "unkontrollierbare" Techniken, aber ich war doch versucht und mit dem Ergebnis nach dem Trocknen war ich an sich recht zufrieden. 

 

You may have already noticed - I used the large pumpkin background by SimonSaysStamp again. I think, it was released last fall and I fell in love immediately. But it was sold out and - with shipping from the States taking quite some time - I didn't feel like fall crafting anymore once it was back in stock. This year I ordered it in time and now it wants to get used!

I gold heat embossed the image onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and put some Distress Ink Wild Honey, Cracking Campfire and a bit of Fired Brick onto each pumpkin, not really taking care about blending. Then I sprayed a lot of water on top. I am usually not one for those "uncontrollable" techniques but I was tempted to try it again and, once everything had dried, was quite happy with the result.  

 

 Ich wollte meinem Hintergrund dann doch noch etwas mehr Tiefe geben, außerdem waren auch die Kürbis-Stiele orange. Also habe ich sie mit Polychromos braun eingefärbt und verschiedene Orange- und Gelbtöne sowie weiß benutzt, um Details auf die Kürbisse aufzumalen. 

Dann habe ich goldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I  wanted to give my  background more depth, and the pumpkin stems were orange, too. So I used my Polychromos to color them brown and used different shades of orange and yellow and also some white to add details to the pumpkins.

Then I splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto the background.

 

 Ziemlich weit unten, etwa mittig, befindet sich im Kürbisfeld, das übrigens eigentlich 15 x 15 cm groß und mit Rahmen ist, ein dicker Kürbis. Dem habe ich dann noch einen Hexenhut aufgesetzt. 

Der Hexenhut ist mit dem Stanzenset Sassy Witch Hat von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Ich habe ihn aus braunem Cardstock, die umgeschlagene Krempe und das Band aus gelb-braunem Cardstock und die Schleife aus goldenem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. Die Teile sind alle mit Copics schattiert. 

Und weil der Hexenhut viel zu gepflegt aussah, habe ich noch drei kleine Spinnen angebracht. Die sind aus dem Set Boo von WaffleFlower und ich weiß, dass sie vom Design her ein Stilbruch sind. Aber ich fand sie einfach super süß und sie geben der Karte etwas verspieltes. Den Spinnenfaden, an dem die Spinne hängt, habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelstift nachgemalt. 

Der Text auf der Karte ist wieder aus dem Set Pumpkin to talk About. Ich habe den Stempel zerschnitten um das What's über statt vor das Cooking setzen zu können und den Text dann weiß auf Vellum embosst. Dann habe ich ihn mit einem der Essential Modern Ovals von Spellbinders  ausgestanzt und unter dem Hut auf die Karte geklebt. Das Ende des Vellums habe ich umgeknickt und hinten auf der Karte festgeklebt. 

 

 Quite at the bottom and centered in this pumpkin patch, that's a 6" x 6" stamp with a frame, there's this quite round pumpkin. I put a witch's hat onto that. 

The hat is made with the Sassy Witch Hat die set by SimonSaysStamp. I die cut it from brown, the folded up side and the ribbon from yellow cardstock  and the bow from gold glitter cardstock and shaded the pieces with Copics. 

And since the hat looked way too smooth for a witch's hat I decided to add three small spiders. They are from the Boo stamp set by WaffleFlower and I know, that they don't really fit to the style of the rest of the card. But I really liked them with their large eyes and they add a goofy touch to the card. I used a gold gel pen to trace the thread the spider is dangling from. 

The text on the card is again from Pumpkin to talk About. I cut the stamp apart to be able to stamp the what's above the cooking and white heat embossed the text on vellum. I cut it out with one of the Essential Modern Ovals by Spellbinders and adhered it under the hat onto the cardstock. I folded over the left edge of the vellum and glued it to the back of the card.

 

 Den Hut habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Und auch hinter dem oberen Rand der Krempe befindet sich ein kleines Stück davon - den unteren Rand habe ich mit Flüssigkleber direkt am Hut angeklebt. So wirkt sie schön plastisch.

 Ich habe dann beschlossen, dass noch irgendein optischer Abschluss auf der Karte fehlte. Also habe ich aus weißem Cardstock einen der Stitched Rectangles von Create a Smile gestanzt und aufgeklebt. Der hält auch das Vellum noch etwas besser an Ort und Stelle. Außerdem habe ich ein paar weiß-irisierende Perlen rund um den Hut verteilt aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used thin foam tape to adhere the hat to the background. And I also put a small piece of it behind the top of the folded over part of the hat - the bottom I glued with liquid glue directly to the hat. This makes it look very dimensional. 

I decided that I was missing some kind of frame here. So I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangles by Create a Smile from white cardstock and glued it down. This frame also holds the vellum in place better. And I added some white-iridescent pearls around the heat.

As the last step I glued the card panel onto a white note card.
