Es gibt diese Freundschaften, die schon seit dem Sandkasten halten. Für so einen Freund zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog dieseFreundschafts-/Dankeskarte. 

Und diese Karte ist die letzte, die für das Stamping-Fairies DT entstanden ist. Nach knapp 6 Jahren habe ich den Entschluss gefasst, das Team zu verlassen. Veränderungen gehören zum Leben dazu, aber wenn die Veränderungen, die andere vornehmen, auf einen persönlich nicht passen, dann muss man selbst ebenfalls Veränderungen vornehmen. Und so kam es zu meinem Entschluss. Aber keine Angst, Ihr bekommt hier deswegen nicht weniger Karten zu sehen!

Hello everyone!

There are those friends that we've known since we were little. This card, that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, is made for such a friend.

And this card is also the last one I made as a member of the Stamping-Fairies DT. After nearly 6 years, that I was part of this team, I decided to leave it. Changes are part of life, but when those changes other make just don't work for you and who you are, you have to make some changes yourself. That's how I made this decision. But don't worry, that doesn't mean you will see less cards here!

Für den Hintergrund habe ich eines der Papiere aus dem Poppin' Polka Dots Paperpad von MFT verwendet. Die Ränder habe ich mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt. Lustigerweise wurden dabei die weißen Punkte auf dem Papier dunkler als der Rest, aber ich finde dieses Muster total spannend, denn so wird nicht nur das Papier an sich, sondern eben auch die Punkte von außen nach innen heller.

Das Designpapier habe ich später schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

For the background I've used a sheet from the Poppin' Polka Dots paper pad by MFT. I inked up the edges with Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. When I inked them up, the white dots turned out darker than the colored area of the paper, but I really like this effect since not only the paper gets lighter from the edges towards the center, but also the dots themselves. 

Later I matted this paper with some black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.

Der Text auf der Karte ist mit der Thank you for being a Friend Stanze von MFT gemacht. Ich habe ihn aus dem vorher gewischten Designpapier ausgestanzt. Da ich die beiden kleinen Motive zwischen dem Text aufbringen wollte, habe ich Partial Die-Cutting gemacht und so zuerst nur den oberen Teil des Textes gestanzt, dann die Stanze nach unten geschoben und noch den unteren Teil des Textes ausgestanzt. 

The text on this card is made with the Thank you for being a Friend die by MFT. I've die cut it from the inked up patterned paper. Since I wanted to place those two small images between the lines of the text, I did some partial die cutting. First I've only cut out the upper two lines, then moved the die further down on my paper and die cut the rest of the text.

Ich habe den Text auch einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die schwarzen Buchstaben in die ausgestanzten Buchstaben geklebt. Das Wort friend habe ich sogar 4mal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, die Worte aufeinander geklebt und zuoberst noch ein friend, gestanzt aus blauem Cardstock, geklebt. Auf den i-Punkt habe ich ein kleines Herz geklebt.

Die beiden süßen Babies sind aus dem Babysaurs Stempelset von MFT. Ich fand die beiden einfach zuckersüß zusammen - und perfekt für eine Freundschaftskarte für jemanden, den man seit seinen Windeltagen kennt. Ich habe die Motive mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und oben auf die dritte Textlinie geklebt. 

Unter das Wort friend habe ich noch einen weiteren Text geklebt. Der ist aus dem Stempelset Itty Bitty Baby Stempelset und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Carstock geklebt. Damit er die gleiche Höhe wie das aufeinander geklebte friend erhält, habe ich es mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch ein paar hellblaue Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.

I've die cut the text from black carstock also and then glued the black letters into their negative spaces. The word friend was die cut four times, then I stacked those layers on top of each other. As the top layer I used a die cut word that I've cut from blue cardstock. On top of the title of the i I glued a little heart.

Those two cute babies are from the Baysaurs stamp set. I think they are perfect on a card for someone that you've known since you both were in diapers. I colored the images with Copics, cut them out and then glued them on top of the third text line.

Under the word friend I added another text. This one's from the Itty Bitty Baby stamp set and white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock. I used dimensionals to glue it down with the same height as the stacked word friends.

In the end I added a few light blue sequins all over the card.

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog diese Winterkarte. Und weil Winter für mich mit frostigen und blassen Farben einhergeht, habe ich genau dazu gegriffen, um diese Karte zu machen.

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this winter card today. And since winter means frosty and soft colors I picked exactly those to make this card.

Ich habe hier mal Watercolors verwendet, so dass meine Szene auf einem Stück Watercolor Paper arrangiert ist. Das habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Ich finde, bei dieser Karte ist weniger Schnick-Schnack einfach mehr.

Here I used watercolors so I created my scene on a piece of watercolor paper. I matte that black later and glued it onto a white note card. With this card I think less is more and so I kept it pretty simple, designwise.

Wie gesagt habe ich hier Watercolors verwendet - genauer gesagt habe ich mit Distress Ink Kissen coloriert. Die habe ich auf die Non-Stick Mat meiner Glass Media Mat abgedrückt und von dort dann die Farbe mit einem feuchten Pinsel aufgenommen. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich Stormy Sky (Himmel) und Tumbled Glass (Schnee am Boden) benutzt. 

Die Szene im Hintergrund habe ich mit den Tiny Houses von MFT aus Watercolor Paper gestanzt. Vor dem Zusammenkleben habe ich sie mit Pumice Stone (Häuser), Gathered Twigs (Dächer), Forest Moss (Tannen) und wieder Tumbled Glass ganz rudimentär coloriert. Auf die Hausdächer und die Tannen habe ich nach dem Trocknen weiße Acrylfarbe auf die Stanzteile aufgetragen. Die Fenster und Türen habe ich mit schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt.

Die süßen Motive sind aus dem Have a wonderful wintery Day Stempelset von PicketFence. Um sie in No-Line Coloring zu colorieren, habe ich sie mit Distress Ink Antique Linen ebenfalls auf Watercolor Paper gestempelt und dabei den Hasen vor den Schneemann maskiert. 

Zum Colorieren habe ich wieder Forest Moss, Gathered Twigs und Tumbled Glass und zusätzlich Rusty Hinge (Möhre), Hickory Smoke (Hase) und Spun Sugar (Backen und Ohren) verwendet.

Anschließend habe ich alle Motive aufeinander- und auf den oberen Teil der Karte geklebt.

Der Text ist ebenfalls aus dem Stempelset von PicketFence. Eigentlich ist der einzeilig, der wäre bei mir aber über die komplette Breite der Karte gegangen. Also habe ich ihn zweizeilig mit schwarzer Farbe unter die Winterszene gestempelt.

Zum Schluss habe ich mit einem ganz feinen Pinsel noch einige Schneeflocken aus weißer Acrylfarbe über der Szene verteilt.

As mentioned above I used watercolors for this card - to be precise I colored with Distress Ink pads. I put some of the ink on the non-stick mat of my Glass Media Mat and then picked it up with a wet fine brush.

For the background I used Stormy Sky (sky) and Tumbled Glass (snow on the ground). 

The scene in the background is die cut from watercolor paper with the Tiny Houses die set by MFT. Before glueing it together I did some basic coloring of the die cut pieces with Pumice Stone (houses), Gathered Twigs (roofs), Forest Moss (trees) and again Tumbled Glass. After the pieces had dried I put some white acrylic paint onto the roofs and trees. Behind the windows and doors I glued some small pieces of black cardstock.

The cute images are from the Have a wonterful wintery Day stamp set by PicketFence. To be able to do some no-line coloring I stamped them onto watercolor paper with Antique Linen and did some masking to put the snowman behind the bunny.

To color the images I used Forest Moss, Gathered Twigs and Tumbled Glass again and added Rusty Hinge (carott), Hickory Smoke (bunny) and Spun Sugar (cheeks and inner ears).

Then I glued all pieces together and onto the upper area of my card.

The text is also from the same stamp set by PicketFence. Originally it's written in one line, but that would have been all across my card. So I divided it into two lines and stamped it with black ink under my winter scene.

In the end I used a fine brush and white acrylic paint to lay down some snowflakes over my scene.

Ich weiß, Weihnachten ist vorbei - aber ich wollte Euch unbedingt noch dieses Tag zeigen. Das zierte dieses Jahr die Geschenke für meine Töchter. Und da konnte ich es natürlich nicht vorher zeigen, die entdecken doch alles! Bei uns sind nämlich sogar die Tags geheim. Und so zeige ich den Tag heute mit etwas Verspätung auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog - nach Weihnachten ist ja bekanntlich vor Weihnachten!

I know, christmas is over - but I really wanted to share this tag with you. I used those for my daughters' gifts this year. And so I wasn't able to share them earlier - they tend to find everything! And in our house even the tags are a secret/surprise. So I'm sharing it over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, with a little delay, but next christmas will come for sure! 

So, ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es in ganz Deutschland so war, aber hier im Süden hat ein großer Discounter schon letztes Jahr die Weihnachtsmöhre ins Leben gerufen, die außerdem noch genau so heißt, wie mein Bruder. Meine Mädels und ich finden sie einfach zum Schießen und lieben sie - mein Mann enthält sich. Aber ich konnte einfach nicht anders, als die Idee für die Tags aufzugreifen. Und so habe ich hier sogar eine eigentlich eher österliche Stanze für einen Weihnachtstag benutzt!

Here in the south of Germany a big german Discounter brought a christmas carrot to live already last year, and it's even named like my brother. My girls and I think it's hilarious - and love it. Well, my husband keeps his thoughts to himself... I just couldn't resist and use the idea for my tags. And so I used a kind of easter die set for a christmas tag!

Für den Tag selbst habe ich die Vertical Frame Stanze von MFT benutzt und sie aus grau-blauem Cardstock gestanzt. So passte mein Tag farblich zum Geschenkpapier, das es im Möhrendesign bei eben diesem Discounter gab.

Aus dem mittleren Teil des Tags, der mit herausgestanzt wird, habe ich die Scattered Stars von MFT ausgestanzt. Die Stanze ist länger, aber Dank Partial Die Cutting konnte ich sie Sterne perfekt mittig anordnen. Die Ränder der beiden Teile habe ich mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky gewischt.

Den Mittelteil und den Rahmen habe ich dann auf silbernen Spiegelcardstock geklebt. So halten beide Teile zusammen, die Sterne sind schön silbern hinterlegt und auf der Rückseite ergab sich gleich eine weiße Fläche, auf die man prima Namen etc. schreiben konnte. 

Oben am Tag habe ich mit meiner Crop-a-Dile ein blaues Eyelet von We'R'Memory Keepers befestigt und dann eine schwarze Schleife und eine blauen Aufhänger aus Twine angebunden. An die Schleife habe ich zudem zwei kleine Glöckchen gebunden.

For the tag I used the Vertical Frame die by MFT and die cut it from a grey-ish blue cardstock. This way the tag matched perfectly the wrapping paper with a carrot design said Discounter sold.

From the middle area, that gets cut with the tag/frame, I've die cut the Scatered Stars, also by MFT. This die is longer but thanks to partial die cutting I was able to center the stars perfectly. I used Distress Ink Stormy Sky to ink the edges of the tag and the inner piece.

I glued both blue pieces onto silver mirror cardstock. This keeps both pieces together, the stars look silver and on the backside I ended up with white paper which was perfect to write onto.

To the top of the tag I've added a blue eyelet by We'R'Memory Keepers, using my Crop-a-Dile, then tied a black bow and some blue twine to it. I also tied to little bells to the bow.

Hier ist meine Weihnachtsmöhre! Ich habe dafür die kürzere der Karotten aus dem Stanzenset Carrot Bunny von Sizzix benutzt. 

Die beiden Teile der Karotte sind aus hell- und dunkelorangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und anschließend mit Distress Ink Wild Honey bzw. Rusty Hinge gewischt. Das süße Gesicht ist aus dem Stempelset Love you a Latte von LawnFawn.

Damit die Karotte schön weihnachtlich aussieht, habe ich ihr eine Nikolausmütze verpasst. Die ist aus dem Stempelset Yeti or Not von LawnFawn. Ich habe sie mit Copcis coloriert und aufgeklebt. 

Für das Karottengrün oben an der Karotte habe ich eine ältere Stanze von Spellbinders verwendet, die eigentlich einen Farn darstellt. Im Stanzenset von Sizzix ist Karottengrün enthalten, das hat aber oben auf der Nikolausmütze sehr komisch ausgesehen. Diese Stanzteile habe ich mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint gewischt.

Ich habe ein paar Highlights mit einem weißen Gelpen aufgemalt, die Karotte auf den Tag geklebt und anschließend mit einem schwarzen Fineliner Arme und Beine dazugemalt - ganz einfach im Strichmännchen-Stil. Aber mit Gesicht aber ohne Gliedmaßen sah die Karotte eigenwillig aus.

Here's my christmas carrot! I used the shorter one of the two carrots from the Carrot Bunny die set by Sizzix for it.

I've die cut both pieces of the carrot from light and dark orange cardstock, then inked the edges with Distress Ink Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge. The cute face is from the Love you a Latte stamp set by LawnFawn.

To give the carrot a christmas-sy look, I put a Santa's hat on its head. This is from the Yeti or Not stamp set by LawnFawn, colored with Copics and glued onto the carrot.

For the greens on the carrot I used an older die by Spellbinders, that's originally a fern die. There's some greens included in the die set by Sizzix, but its shape looked weird on top of the Santa's hat. I used Distress Ink Peeled Paint to ink up the greens.

I added a few highlights with a white gel pen, glued the carrot onto the tag and then used a black fineliner to add the arms and legs - in a very simple and basic style. The carrot with a face looked pretty strange without the arms and legs.

Und hier ist der Text, den ich auf den Tags angebracht habe.

Für das Have A habe ich einen weiteren Stempel aus dem Set Yeti or Not von LawnFawn mit glitzerndem silbernem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten.

Das Möhri - und jeder versteht die Anspielung auf merry wohl - ist mit dem Captions Alphabet Stanzenset von MFT aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Möhri ist bei uns eines dieser Worte, die aus dem Kinderwortschatz in der Familiensprache übergehen. Jede Karotte in unserem Haus ist ein "Möhri". Auch diese Tatsache finde ich klasse, denn sie machen die Tags noch persönlicher.

Das Christmas ist mit der Merry Christmas Stanze von MFT gemacht. Ich habe sie jeweils einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock und einmal aus silberfarbenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt, leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt und dann auf dem Tag befestigt.

For the have a I used another stamp from the Yeti or Not stamp set by LawnFawn and glitter silver heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

The word Möhri is the way my kids said Möhre when they where little. That's a german word for carrot and is pronounced very much like merry. So everyone should get that pun. Möhri is also one of those words that were taken over in the family language - my kids still say Möhri instead of Möhre. So this made the tags even more personal.

The word christmas is die cut with the Merry Christmas die set by MFT. I've cut it once from black cardstock and once from silver mirror cardstock and stacked them a bit off before I glued them onto the tag.

Golden Oldies Januar 2022

Das neue Jahr ist ja noch nicht alt - da darf ich doch noch eine Neujahrskarte zeigen. Und das tue ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

The new year has just started - it's not too late to share another new year's card. And so I'm doing just that over on the Stamping-Fairies Blog today. 

Und weil der erste Dienstag des Monats ist, kommt heute wieder eine Karte aus der Kategorie Golden Oldies, auf der ich ältere Stempel und Stanzen verwendet habe.

And since it's the first tuesday of the month I made another card in my Golden Oldies series, for which I use older stamps and dies.

Für den Himmel habe ich den oberen Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Faded Jeans und Chipped Sapphire gewischt. Dann habe ich silberne Metallic Watercolor darüber gespritzt - das passt so schön zum eisigen Look meiner Karte.

Die Sternschnuppe, die gerade über den Himmel fliegt und ganz viel Glück für das neue Jahr im Gepäck hat, ist aus einer sternförmigen, silberfarbenen Pailette gemacht. Ich habe sie auf den Himmel aufgeklebt und dann mit weißem und silberfarbenem Gelmarker den Schweif dazu gemalt. Er besteht einfach aus vielen kleinen Punkten.

For the sky I inked up the upper part of a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. Then I spritzed some silver metallic watercolor over it - it goes perfectly with the icy look of my card.

The shooting star, that is just crossing the sky and is bringing lots of luck for this new year, is made from a silver star shaped sequin. I glued it onto the cardstock, then added the sparkle with a white and a silver gel pen. It's just made from lots of tiny dots.

 

Die beiden Yetis stoßen gerade mit einem Glas Sekt auf das neue Jahr an. Sie sind in richtiger Partystimmung und haben sich sogar Partyhüte aufgesetzt. Die Yetis und Hüte sind aus dem Set Yeti or Not von LawnFawn und mit Copics coloriert. Die Sektgläser, die sie in den Händen - Pranken? - halten, sind aus dem Set Currently Drinking von WaffleFlower. Ich habe sie direkt vor dem Ausschneiden auf die Yeti-Motive aufgestempelt. 

Die Eisberge im Hintergrund sind mit den Icebergs Stanzen von MFT gemacht. Ich habe sie aus dem hellsten Türkiston, den ich an Cardstock da hatte, ausgestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Dann habe ich die weißen Bereiche mit einem Gelpen hinzugefügt und die Eisberge mit Glossy Accents überzogen, damit sie schön echt aussehen.

Vor den Eisbergen und auch den Yetis habe ich direkt auf den weißen Cardstock Schatten, ebenfalls mit Copic, aufgemalt und dann die Motive aufgeklebt.

Those two Yetis are just doing a toast to this new year. They are in a party mood and even put on some party hats. The Yetis and the hats are from the Yeti or Not stamp set by LawnFawn and colored with Copics. The glasses, that they are holding in their hands - paws? - are from the Currently Drinking stamp set by WaffleFlower. I stamped those directly onto the Yetis before cutting those out.

The ice bergs in the background are from the Icebergs die set by MFT. I've cut those from the lightest turquoise carstock I could find in my stash, then shaded them with Copics. In the end I added the white areas with a white gel pen and covered the ice bergs with Glossy Accents, to make them look as real as possible. 

In front of the ice bergs and the Yetis I added some shadows directly onto the white cardstock, again with Copics, and glued the images down.

Für den Text habe ich nochmal das Jingle all the Way Stempelset von CraftEmotions verwendet - ich finde das einfach klasse. Ich habe das happy new year mit schwarzer Tinte auf den Hintergrund aufgestempelt.

Der kleine the best is yeti to come Text ist wieder aus dem Yeti or Not Stempelset und ebenfalls diekt auf den weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

For the text I used the Jingle all the Way stamp set by CraftEmotions again - I just love it and its style. I stampted the text with black ink onto the background.

The small the best ist Yeti to come text is again from the Yeti or Not stamp set and also stamped directly onto the white cardstock.

Jetzt nach Weihnachten sind bei mir die Neujahrskarten dran. Davon brauche ich nicht viele, denn es gibt nur eine Handvoll Menschen, denen ich eine schicke. In der Familie verschenken wir eher die klassischen Glücksbringer. Aber eine der Neujahrskarten, die ich doch gewerkelt habe, zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

After christmas it's time to think about new year's cards. I don't need many of those because there are only a few people I send those to. Within our family we tend to give each other little lucky charms for the next year. But one of those new year's cards that I made, is what I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today.

Ich habe hier ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock als Basis verwendet. Und dann habe ich mal meine Nuvo Mousses rausgeholt - die werden ja auch nicht besser, aber ich verwende sie so selten. 

 

I used  a piece of black cardstock for my base. Then I brought out my Nuvo Mousses - those don't get better with time, as we say here in Germany, but I rarely think of using them.

 

Mit den Card-Sized Confetti Stencils von MFT habe ich die Konfetti auf den Hintergrund aufgetragen. Im Set sind zwei Stencils enthalten - zuerst habe ich eine davon mit goldenem Nuvo Mousse aufgetragen. Nach dem Trocknen kam dann die zweite Stencil mit aquamarin-farbenem Mousse dran. Gold und türkis finde ich eine klasse Kombi - und sie passt perfekt zur Einrichtung der Empfängerin. Die Nuvo Mousses geben der Karten einen tollen Schimmer und Glanz.

For the confetti background I used the Card-Sized Confetti stencils by MFT. There are two stencils in the set. I used the first one with some golden Nuvo Mousse. After that had dried, I used the second one with some aquamarine Mousse. I love the color combo of gold and turquoise - and it goes perfectly with the colors in the recipients home. The Nuvo Mousses add a beautiful shimmer and shine.

Unten auf der Karte war dann genug Platz für einen Text - die Stencils füllen die Karte nicht bis ganz unten. 

Ich habe hier einen der Stempel aus dem Set Jingle all the Way von CraftEmotions benutzt. Der wäre ja wieder klasse für die Chalkboard Technik gewesen, aber man kann ja nicht immer das gleiche machen. Also habe ich den Text nur mit weißem Embossingpulver auf den unteren Teil der Karte aufembosst. Der kleine Text darunter ist aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Stempelset von MFT und mit goldenem Embossingpulver embosst - das Gold am unteren Rand der Karte bringt das Design der Karte nochmal zusammen.

Ein kleiner Glücksbringer musste dann doch mit auf die Karte. Also habe ich aus grünem Cardstock ein vierblättriges Kleeblatt von CraftEmotions ausgestanzt und mit Copics ein wenig schattiert. Dann habe ich es auf die Karte - und über den Text - geklebt. Da ich im Vorfeld schon damit gerechnet hatte, dass ich evtl. noch ein Stanzteil aufbringe, hatte ich vorsichtshalber die beiden Stempel an Ort und Stelle in meinem Stempeltool gelassen. So konnte ich die Text ganz einfach nochmal über das Kleeblatt stempeln und embossen - und der Text ist nicht unterbrochen. So hinter dem Text sieht das Kleeblatt auch viel besser aus.

Bei den Worten New und Year habe ich dann die eigentlich ungefüllten breiten Striche mit einem goldenen Stift ausgemalt, so passt es ebenfalls besser zum Rest der Karte.

Zum Schluss habe ich mit einem weißen Gelpen einen kleinen Rahmen frei Hand auf die Karte gemalt, den Aufleger mit goldenem Spiegelcardstock gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

There was enough room at the bottom of the card to add my text - the stencils don't fill the whole card with confetti.

Here I used a stamp from the Jingle all the Way stamp set by CraftEmotions. It would have been another great one to do the chalkboard technique, but I don't want to do the same thing too often. So I simply white heat embossed the text onto my card. 

The smaller text under it is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set by MFT and golden heat embossed - the gold at the bottom edge kind of ties the design of the card together.

Well, and then I decided I had to add a little lucky charm. So I've die cut a fourleaf clover by CraftEmotions from green cardstock and slightly shaded it with Copics. Then I glued it onto the card - and on top of the text. I had already thought about doing something like that so I left the stamps in my stamp positioning tool. That way it was completly easy to re-stamp them onto the die cut and heat emboss them again. This way the lines aren't broken and the clover looks a lot better behind the stamped words.

I used a golden pen to fill in the wide lines of the words New and Year, now the text fits the card better colorwise. 

In the end I hand drew a thin frame around my card with a white gel pen, matted the black cardstock with golden mirror cardstock and glued everything onto a white note card.

Nur noch wenige Tage bis Weihnachten - nicht nur wir Menschen sind mit den letzten Festvorbereitungen beschäftigt - auch die Pinguine schmücken ihren Baum. Und das kann, wie man auf der Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, sieht, eine ganz schön wackelige Angelegenheit sein! Aber ich bin mir sicher, zusammen schaffen die das!

Only a few days left until christmas - and not only we humans are busy with the last preparations, also the penguins are decorating their tree. And, as you can see on this card, that I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, that can get pretty shaky! But I'm sure, they'll get it done together!

Eigentlich war das interaktive Element hier gar nicht geplant. Aber als ich dann alle Teile coloriert und ausgeschnitten vor mir hatte, fand ich die Idee doch ganz gut - und habe sie eingebaut.

I hadn't planned to make an interactive card. But when I had all the images colored and cut out in front of me I liked the idea a lot - and so I included the interactive element.

Hier habe ich zuerst für den Hintergrund etwa das untere Drittel meines weißen Cardstocks abgedeckt und den Himmel mit Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt. In diesem oberen Bereich habe ich kleine Wassertropfen sowie kleine Spritzer goldener Metallic Watercolor verteilt.

Anschließend habe ich den oberen Bereich abgedeckt und unten das Wasser mit Distress Oxide Salty Ocean aufgewischt.

Die Texte hier sind eine Kombination zweier Stempel: Der Text being together makes everything better ist aus dem Stempelset Better Together. Ich habe beim Abstempeln das Wort everything abgedeckt und anschließend das Wort christmas aus dem Stempelset Dino-Mite Christmas in die so entstandene Lücke gestempelt. Anschließend habe ich die Worte mit weißem Embossingpulver bestreut und embosst. Dann habe ich den Text zerschnitten und auf meine Karte geklebt.

Here I covered the lower third of my white cardstdock with some copy paper and created my sky with Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I spritzed some water and also some golden metallic watercolor over that sky area.

Then I covered the sky I've inked up before and created the water in the lower third using Distress Oxide Salty Ocean.

The sentiment here is a mix of two stamps: I stamped the being together makes everything better text from the Better Together stamp set onto some black cardstock, masking the word everything off. Into the gap that was left between the words makes and better I stamped the word christmas from the Dino-Mite Christmas stamp set. I put some white embossing powder over my text and heat embossed it. Then I cut the text into two strips and glued those onto my card.

Die meisten Motive hier sind aus dem No One Stacks Up to You Stempelset: die Eisschollen, die Pinguin und der Hocker, auf dem sie stehen.

Die Eisschollen habe ich mit ganz heller Tinte gestempelt, so dass man später die gestempelten Linien nicht mehr sieht. Dadurch wirken die Eisschollen echter. Außerdem habe ich hier Reflektionen von den Objekten darüber mit aufgemalt.

Der Tannenbaum ist mit der Evergreen Stanze von MFT gemacht. Ich habe ihn aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. Eigentlich wollte ich ihn undekoriert lassen, aber das fand ich ein wenig zu traurig für einen Weihnachtsbaum. Deswegen habe ich die Fische aus dem Stempelset Beary Best Friends abgestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich sie an den Christbaum gehängt. Pinguine haben bestimmt Fische an ihrem Weihnachtsbaum - und die Schuppen glitzern auch noch so toll passend! Die Girlande habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelpen aufgemalt. 

Und der Stern, den der oberste Pinguin versucht, auf die Baumspitze zu stecken, ist aus dem Stempelset Holiday Penguins.

Coloriert sind alle Motive auf der Karte mit Copics.

Und dann kam das interaktive Element ins Spiel. Ich wollte vermeiden, dass meine Pinguin-Pyramide rechts die Karte hinunter rutscht. Deswegen habe ich kein rundes Loch in die Karte geschnitten. Stattdessen habe ich einen der Frosty Ice Cubes von MFT genommen, die Umrisse unter dem Hocker auf die Karte gemalt und dann etwas größer ein Quadrat in den Hintergrund geschnitten. Eine Seite des Eiswürfels habe ich auf einen kleinen Kreis aus Cardstock geklebt, auf der anderen Seite ist das Motiv befestigt. So kann die Pyramide nur soweit schwanken, bis die Ecken des kleinen Eiswürfels an den Seiten des quadratischen Lochs anstoßen. 

Damit die Eisscholle auch schön ins Wasser taucht, habe ich über den unteren Bereich meiner Karte noch etwas hellblaues Vellum gelegt. Zum Befestigen habe ich die Enden seitlich um den Kartenrand geklebt. Auf das Vellum und auch das gewischte Wasser habe ich mit einem weißen Gelpen ein paar Wellen ins Wasser gemalt.

Damit sich meine Pinguine frei bewegen können - oder in diesem Fall eher müssen? - habe ich die schwarze Mattung mit Foam Tape aufgeklebt, anschließend habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Most images on this card are from the No One Stacks up to You stamp set: the ice floes, the penguins and the little stool they are standing on.

I used a very light ink to stamp the ice floes so you don't see the stamped lines anymore after the coloring. This way they look more realistic. And I also added a few reflections from the object that are standing on them.

The tree is die cut with the Evergreen die by MFT. I've die cut it from green cardstock and added some shading with my Copics. I had planned to leave it undecorated but then decided, that would be pretty sad for a christmas tree. So I used the fish from the Beary Best Friend stamp set, colored them with Copics and hung them into the tree. I'm sure penguins decorate their trees with fish - also because their scales glitter so wonderfully! To add the garland I made little dots with a golden gel pen.

And the star, that the penguin on top of the pyramide, is trying to put on top of the tree is from the Holiday Penguins stap set.

All images on this card are colored with Copics.

And then I added the interactive element. I didn't want my penguin pyramide tumble over the right edge of my card. So I didn't cut a circle into the background. Instead I used one of the Frosty Ice Cubes by MFT, traced the outer shape onto my cardstock and then it out slightly larger with my scissors. I attached a little circle to one side of the ice cube, put it through the hole and glued the image onto the other side of the ice cube. Now the penguin pyramide can only move until the corner of the ice cube touches the outline of my square cut out.

To make the ice floe with the penguins dip into the water I added a layer of light blue vellum to part of my water area at the bottom of my card. To glue it down I folded the ends over the side edges of my cardstock and glued them down onto the back of it. Onto the vellum and also the inked water area I added a few tiny waves and water ripples with a white gel pen.

To let my penguins move freely I used foam tape to attach the black matting to my scene, then glued everything onto a white note card.

Weihnachtskarte mal monochrom

Ich habe es ja schon oft erwähnt - rot und grün ist einfach nicht meine Farbkombi. Und doch ist sie typisch für Weihnachten. Sie wäre auch für diese Karte prädestiniert gewesen - mit Ilex und Weihnachtsstern-Blüte. Aber nach etwas überlegen, habe ich beschlossen, mal eine braun monochrome Weihnachtskarte zu machen - und die zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

I've already mentioned it several times - red and green just isn't my color combo. And yet it's so christmassy. It would also habe been most people's go to color combo for this card - with the holly leaves and the poinsettia. I thought about alternatives and decided to do a monochromatic brown christmas card - and this I'm sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today.

Als Basis habe ich hier kraftfarbenen Cardstock verwendet. Und ich finde, die Karte ist trotz der Farbe schön festlich und elegant geworden.

As the base I used a piece of kraft colored cardstock. And despite the color I think this turned out a very festive and elegant card.

Zuerst habe ich eine der Weihnachtsstern-Blüten sowie die Ilex-Blätter aus dem Poinsettia Stempelset von Stamperia mit heller, copicfreundlicher Tinte an die rechte untere sowie linke obere Ecke meiner Karte gestempelt. So war der Abdruck leicht sichtbar, ich konnte ihn aber problemlos übermalen. Denn hier wollte ich eine Art No-Line Effekt.

Mit Copics in Brauntönen habe ich dann zuerst den Schatten rund um die Motive gemalt, dann habe ich die Motive mit einer anderen Braun-Kombi ganz leicht schattiert. Einige der Bereiche der Motive habe ich aber komplett uncoloriert gelassen, so dass dort der craftfarbene Cardstock zu sehen ist, und die Copics in den Ton des Cardstocks hinein-verblendet.

Für die Highlights habe ich creme- sowie bronzefarbene Polychromos verwendet. Die Beeren sind mit cremefarbenen und weißen Polychromos coloriert. Dann habe ich mit einem dunkelbraunen Stift die Details in die Blätter gezeichnet. Es macht übrigens gar nichts, wenn man hier nicht so genau entlang der gestempelten Linien coloriert, das sieht man nach dem Colorieren nicht mehr.

Die Mitte der Blüte habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelpen hervorgehoben. Mit dem habe ich auch einen Rahmen entlang des unbestempelten Randes gemalt.

Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe, leicht mit Wasser vermischt, über den Cardstock gespritzt und dabei die Mitte, auf die ich meinen Text stempeln wollte, mit Kopierpapier abgedeckt.

First I stamped the poinsettia and some holly leaves from the Poinsettia stamp set by Stamperia onto the bottom right and top left corner of my cardstock using light, copic friendly ink. The image is only slightly visible but those stamped lines will be invisible later - and I was after a No-Line look here.

I used some brown Copics to first add the shadows around my images, then used a different combo of browns to lightly shade the images. Some areas of the images are completly uncolored and the cardstock color is visible there, I blended the Copics right into the tone of my cardstock.

For the highlights I used some cream and bronze colored Polychromos. The berries are colored with cream and white Polychromos. Then I used a dark brown pen to add the details to the leaves. It's no problem if you don't color exactly inside the stamped lines here, it won't be noticable after the coloring is finished.

I used a golden gel pen to draw in the center of my flower. And I used the same pen to hand draw a thin frame along the edge of my cardstock where I didn't stamp an image.

Then I mixed some white acrylic paint with a bit of water and spritzed that over my cardstock, covering the center with a bit of copy paper because I wanted to stamp my text there.

Für den Text habe ich den Wishing you a very merry Christmas Stempel von MFT verwendet - den finde ich von der Größe und der Schriftart her einfach wundervoll.

Ich habe ihn zuerst mit Versafine Vintage Sepia auf den Cardstock gestempelt und die Tinte gut getrocknet. Anschließend habe ich meinen Cardstock im Stempeltool ein klein wenig nach unten und links verschoben und den Text mit Versamark darüber gestempelt. Diesen Abdruck habe ich dann mit goldenem Embossingpulver embosst. So entsteht ein kleiner dunkelbrauner Schatten unter dem Text. Als Gegenpunkt habe ich dann noch ein paar weiße Highlights oberhalb des Stempelabdrucks aufgemalt.

For the text I used the Wishing you a very merry Christmas stamp by MFT - I think this is wonderful in size and font.

First I stamped it with Versafine Vintage Sepia and let the ink dry completly. Then I moved the cardstock a bit to the bottom and left in my stamping tool and stamped the text again with Versamark ink. Then I golden heat embossed this second text. This way you get a dark brown shadow under the text. For some more contrast I drew some white highlights above the text.

Meinen Cardstock habe ich dann mit goldenem Glitzercardstock gemattet und noch einige goldene Glitzersteine rund um den Text verteilt.

Und nachdem ich das Foto gemacht habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass der Cardstock, wohl vom Embossen, etwas verzogen war. Das habe ich dann mit 3D Tape behoben, das ich auf die Rückseite des Cardstocks geklebt und ihn dann damit auf den goldenen Glitzercardstock befestigt habe. Das sorgt dann gleichzeitig noch für etwas mehr Dimension auf der sonst One-Layer Card.

I matted my cardstock with some golden glitter cardstock and then added a few golden gems around the text.

And after I took this picture I realized, that my cardstock was kind of bent, guess from the heat embossing. I fixed that by putting some foam tape behind the cardstock and then use this to glue it down onto the glitter cardstock. This way I also added some dimension to this nearly one layer card.

Ein X-Mas Shaker

Heute wird geschüttelt! Keine Angst, nicht ich mich, sondern die Karte! Auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich nämlich heute diese Shaker Card im weihnachtlichen Design.

Time to shake something! Don't worry, only this card. Because over on the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing this christmassy shaker card today.

Für die Basis der Karte habe ich zweimal das Snowflake Window von MFT aus blauem Cardstock gestanzt und dabei die Stanzlinien in der Mitte des Cardstock aufeinander treffen lassen. So kann man die Größe des Schneeflocken-Fensters verdoppeln. Es fallen zwar zwei Schneeflocken heraus, aber die habe ich einfach wieder an ihren Platz auf die Folienschicht meines Shakers geklebt.

Den Shaker habe ich mit weißen Mini-Pailetten, etwas größeren silberfarbenen Glitzerpailetten, ebenfalls silberfarbenen Mini-Perlen und türkisfarbenem Glitzer gefüllt. 

Hinter den Shaker habe ich etwas dunkler-türkisfarbenen Cardstock geklebt und dann den Shaker auf eine weiße Faltkarte geklebt.

For the base of my shaker I've die cut the Snowflake Window die by MFT twice from light blue cardstock and made the cut lines meet in the middle of my cardstock. That way I was able to double up the size of my snowflake window. Two of the smaller snowflakes fell out but I simply glued them back in place on top of the acetate of my shaker.

I filled the shaker with white mini sequins, some larger silver glitter sequins, also silver mini beads and some turquoise glitter.

I used a piece of darker turquoise cardstock as the back of my shaker and then glued it onto a white top folding card.

Für den Text habe ich das Merry X-Mas Stempelset von CraftEmotions benutzt. Den gefüllten Text habe ich mit dem Summer Splash Stempelkissen von MFT auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, für die Außenlinien habe ich das Intense Black Kissen benutzt. 

Ich habe den Text per Hand ausgeschnitten und dann erst mit silberfarbenem Glitzercardstock, anschließend noch mit schwarzem Cardstock gemattet. Dann habe ich ihn mit 3D Tape oben mittig auf meinen Shaker geklebt.

Da die Karte doch noch ein wenig langweilig aussah, habe ich noch drei Ilex-Blätter mit dem Holly Berries Stanzenset von MFT aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, die Blätter mit Copics ein wenig schattiert und unter den Text geschoben.

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar silberfarbene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt.

For the text I used the Merry X-Mas stamp set by CraftEmotions. I stamped the filled text with the Summer Splash ink pad by MFT and used the Intense Black one for the outlines.

I've cut out the text by hand, then matted it - first with a layer of silver glitter cardstock, then with some black cardstock. I used foam tape to glue the text on top of my shaker.

Since the card was missing something, I've die cut some holly leaves from green cardstock with the Holly Berries die set by MFT, shaded them a bit with Copics and then tucked them under the matted text.

For decorations I added a few shiny silver pearls to my card.

Golden Oldies Dezember 2021

Es ist der erste Dienstag im Monat - und das bedeutet, auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige ich heute ein weiteres Werk aus der Golden Oldies Reihe.

It's the first tuesday of the month - and that means I'm sharing another project in my Golden Olden series today over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog.

 

Und diesmal habe ich keine Karte, sondern ein kleines Geschenk gemacht. Das könnte genauso gut als Geschenkanhänger oder auch Goodie auf dem Weihnachtstisch verwendet werden.

Als Basis habe ich eines der Tags aus dem Tall Tags Duo Stanzenset verwendet. Ich habe es zweimal aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und die Ränder mit Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs und Ground Espresso gewischt.

 

And I didn't make a card this time but a little gift. It could also be used as a gift tag or a goodie on your christmas table.

 As the base I used one of the tags from the Tall Tag Duo die set. I've cut it twice from brown cardstock and inked up the edges with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso.

Um aus dem Tag ein Rentier zu machen, habe ich die Teile des Christmas Crew Reindeer Stanzensets verwendet. Ich habe sie aus braunem, dunkelbraunem, rosafarbenem und schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Innere der Ohren habe ich mit Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick, das Geweih und die Haare mit Black Soot ein wenig schattiert. Worn Lipstick habe ich auch benutzt, um die Bäckchen auf den Tag aufzutragen. 

Statt der Nase habe ich einen Kreis aus der selben Stelle beider Tags gestanzt. Der ist nur einen Ticken kleiner als die Schokoladenkugel, die ich als Nase verwendet habe. Mein Kreis war 7/8 Inch im Durchmesser, die Schokokugeln sind aber nicht alle gleich groß, deswegen sollte man das jeweils individuell ausmessen. 

Das Halsband des Rentiers habe ich aus rotem Glitzercardstock gestanzt und mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Dort habe ich nach dem Trocknen mit rotem Schleifenband ein kleines goldenes Glöckchen angebracht. Auch die Augen sind mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Die "Haare" des Rentiers habe ich aufgeklebt, damit die Schlitze in den Tags nicht sichtbar sind. Dafür habe ich einfach eine Flammenstanze benutzt und sie aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt. Außerdem habe ich hier einen kleinen Stern aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock mit aufgeklebt, den ich noch von einem anderen Projekt auf meinem Tisch übrig hatte.

Die beiden Tags habe ich mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt und dabei die Schokokugel von innen in die Löcher gesteckt. So wird sie an ihrem Platz gehalten.

To turn the tag into a reindeer I used the pieces from the Christmas Crew Reindeer die set. I've die cut them from brown, dark brown, pink and black cardstock. I used Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick to shade the inner ears a bit, Black Soot for the antlers and hair. For the cheeks I brushed some Worn Lipstick onto the tag.

Instead of the nose from the die set I've die cut a small circle from the same spot in both tags. This circle is just slightly smaller than the chocolate I wanted to use instead. My circle was 7/8th Inch in diameter, but all of those chocolats seem to have a different size so you really need to check and use a circle matching your chocolate.

For the collar I used some red glitter cardstock and covered it with Glossy Accents. After it had dried I added a little golden bell with a bow from red ribbon to it. And also the eyes are covered with Glossy Accents.

I added tthe "hair" of the reindeer to cover the slits in the tags. I simply used a fire/flame die here and cut it from dark brown cardstock. I also added a little star here - a left over from a different project I had left on my desk.

I glued both tags on top of each other with dimensionals and put the chocolate inbetween of them to keep it in place.

Unterhalb des Halsbandes habe ich meine Text aufgeklebt. Mit dem Alphanumeric Shadow Upper Stanzenset von TimHoltz/Sizzix habe ich die Buchstaben J und Y aus rotem Glitzercardstock gestanzt, aber nur das Innere der Buchstaben verwendet. Sonst wäre der Text zu breit geworden. 

Für das O habe ich die Christbaumkugel aus dem Filled with Joy Stanzenset von MFT aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und den ausgestanzten Stern mit rotem Glitzercardstock hinterlegt. 

Den Rest des Textes habe ich mit einem der Stempel aus dem Bitty Holiday Wishes Stempelset mit goldenem Embossingpulver auf braunen Cardstock embosst und ebenfalls mit rotem Glittercardstock gemattet. Dann habe ich auch hier den Glittercardstock mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Under the collar I added my text. I used the Alphanumeric Shadow Upper die set by Tim Holtz/Sizzix to die cut the letters J and Y from red glitter cardstock, but only used the inner letters without the shadows. The text would have gotten to wide otherwise.

For the O I used the christmas bauble die from the Filled with Joy die set by MFT. I cut it from golden mirror cardstock and put some red glitter cardstock behind the cut out star.

The rest of the text I've stamped with one of the stamps from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set onto brown cardstock and golden heat embossed it. Than I matted it again with red glitter cardstock and covered all the red pieces with Glossy Accents.

Und auf diesem Bild kann man noch sehen, wie schön plastisch die Schokokugel-Nase ist.

And on this picture you can see how wonderful dimensional the reindeer's chocolat nose is.

 

Eine Karte mit Krippenszene

Heute zeige ich eine weitere Karte auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog. Und diesmal ist es eine richtig traditionelle Weihnachtskarte mit Krippenszene geworden.

Today I am sharing another card over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog. And this time I made a very traditional christmas card with a nativity scene.

Ich habe eine Box Card gemacht - ganz altmodisch mit der Hand geschnitten. Es gibt passende Stanzen, aber da meine Karte ein Format von 12 x 12 cm hat und ich den Boxteil mit 2,5 cm eher flach halten wollte, habe ich sie per Hand zugeschnitten. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich blauen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Black Soot vom Rand her abgedunkelt und dann goldene Metallic Watercolor darüber gespritzt. 

Für den Text habe ich das Wort Joy aus dem Stempelset Filled with Joy von MFT mit goldenem Glitter-Embossingpulver auf den schwarzen Cardstock, aus dem ich den Boxteil meiner Karte gemacht habe, embosst. Ich finde, mehr Text braucht diese Karte nicht.

I made a box card here - doing it the old fashioned way and cutting it by hand. There are dies that do the job for you, but since my card has a quite unusual size of 4 x 4 Inches and I wanted to keep the box part only 1 Inch deep I've decided to cut it by hand.

For the background I used Distress Oxide Black Soot to darken the edges of a piece of blue cardstock, then spritzed some golden metallic watercolor over it.

For the text I heat embossed the word Joy from the Filled with Joy stamp set by MFT onto the black cardstock, that I used for my box parts, with golden glitter embossing powder. I think, this card doesn't need any more text.

Die Teile für meine Krippe habe ich alle mit dem Nativity Silhouette Stanzenset aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, nur die Palme ist aus dem Stanzenset Flamazing. 

Den Stall habe ich viermal ausgestanzt und alle Teile aufeinander geklebt. Von hinten habe ich ein Stück des Woodgrain Cardstocks von Tim Holtz, den ich zuvor mit Distress Oxide Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo und Black Soot gewischt habe, gegen den Stall geklebt. So hat der Stall einen Hintergrund mit Holzmaserung, außerdem heben sich so die wichtigsten Figuren der Karte besser gegen den dunklen Hintergrund ab. 

Die Ränder aller Stanzteile habe ich mit etwas weißer Stempelfarbe ein wenig gewischt - auch das erhöht den Kontrast auf der Karte.

Den Stern habe ich zusätzlich einmal aus goldenem Glitzercardstock gestanzt, auf das schwarze Stanzteil geklebt und ihn dann mit 3D Tape auf dem Hintergrund befestigt. Auf den Hintergrund habe ich auch einen kleinen Hügel, den ich einfach per Hand zugeschnitten habe, aufgeklebt.

I've die cut all the parts for my nativity from black cardstock with the Nativity Silhouette die set, only the palm tree is from the Flamazing die set.

I've cut the stable four times and stacked all pieces. I put a piece cut from the Woodgrain Cardstock by Tim Holtz behind the stable. Before glueing it down I've inked it up with Distress Oxide Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Black Soot. That way my stable has a back with a wooden pattern and you can also see the main images of the card better.

I've inked the edges of my die cut pieces with some white stamping ink - again to get a better contrast between all the images.

I did cut the star once again from golden glitter cardstock, glued it on top of the black one and then attached it ot my background with foam tape. I also added a hill to the background, I simply cut that by hand from black cardstock.

Im Boxteil meiner Karte befinden sich vier Querlagen, die jeweils 0,5 cm voneinander entfernt sind. Auch hier habe ich die oberen Ränder jeweils ein wenig weiß gewischt.

Direkt auf dem Hintergrund befindet sich der bereits erwähnte Hügel, auf der Querlage davor habe ich die Palme befestigt. An der nächsten Lage ist der Stall angeklebt, an der wieder nächsten der Hirte und das stehende Schaf und an der letzten Querlage der Esel und das liegende Schaf. Am Vorderteil der Box habe ich kein Motiv aufgeklebt, hier befindet sich nur der aufembosste Text.

I added four inner layers to the box part of my card, they are 0,5 cm away from each other. Again I used white ink to highlight the upper edges of each piece.

I glued the hill directly onto the background, on the inner layer in the back I glued down the palm tree. The stable is attached to the next one, onto the next I glued the shepherd and the standing lamb. The donkey and the laying lamb are glued to the last inner layer. I didn't attach any images to the box itself, so there's only the text embossed onto it.

Christmas Joy

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog eine weitere Weihnachtskarte, bei deren Farbwahl man vielleicht nicht sofort an Weihnachten denkt. Aber ich finde, auch richtig bunt geht an Weihnachten. Und manchmal muss man sich ein wenig nach dem Motiv und dessen Farben richten.

Today I am sharing another card over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog. Again I used some colors that might not scream christmas first. But I think, you can go really colorful for christmas as well. And sometimes you just have to go with the colors of the image.

Für diese Karte, auf der ich auch einen Shaker eingebaut habe, habe ich wieder einige ältere Stanzen von MFT mit einem neuen Motiv kombiniert. Und ich habe hier mal mit vielen Lagen kleiner Cardstockstücke gearbeitet - perfekt, um auch den kleinsten Rest aufzubrauchen. 

Der dekorierte weiße Cardstock ist schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

For this card, that I also added a shaker element to, I once again combined older dies by MFT with a new image. And I also included quite a few layers of small cardstock pieces - perfect to even use up the tiniest scrap.

The decorated white cardstock is matted black and glued onto a white note card.

Okay, fangen wir lagenweise mal von hinten/unten an. 

Auf den weißen Cardstock habe ich mit hellgrauer Tinte und dem HoHoHo Background einen Streifen Ho Ho Hos aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich ein Stück eines dunkeltürkisfarbenen Designpapiers mit weißem Holzmuster aus dem Woodgrain Whimsy Paper Pad genommen und ein wenig nach links versetzt auf den weißen Cardstock geklebt.

Aus dem Paper Pad Cool Collab sind die beiden anderen Designpapier, aus denen ich zwei angeschrägte Streifen geschnitten und sie quer über die Karte geklebt habe.

Für die nächste Lage habe ich mit der Merry Christmas Circle Frame Stanze den Kreis mit dem Weihnachtstext aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgestanzt und ihn über die Streifen geklebt. Die Ecke des rot-weißen Designpapiers habe ich dabei über diesen Kreis gelegt.

Für den Shaker mit dem Motiv habe ich eines der zuckersüßen Motive aus dem Selfies with Santa Stempelset abgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich mit der Rectangle Shaker Window and Frame Stanze den Rahmen ein paar Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt. Dahinter kam dann das Motiv. Das passt nicht ganz in den Rahmen, aber man kann trotzdem noch genug davon sehen. Ein quadratisches Motiv hat mir auf dieser Karte einfach nicht gefallen, deswegen habe ich den rechteckigen Shaker eingebaut. 

Das Joy ist mit der Joy Stanze von MFT aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt. Auch hier habe ich einige Stanzeteile aufeinander geklebt und das Wort dann zusätzlich mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt. Daneben habe ich noch ein kleines to the world gesetzt. Dafür habe ich einen der Stempel aus dem Stempelset Bitty Holiday Wishes mit roter Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und dann direkt an das Wort Joy geklebt.

Und ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar silber-glitzernde Nuvo Drops auf der Karte verteilt.

Okay, let's start with the back layer.

Onto the white cardstock I stamped a strip of Ho Ho Hos using light grey ink and the HoHoHo Background stamp. Then I've taken a piece of dark turquoise patterned paper with a wood print from the Woodgrain Whimsy paper pad and glued it down, moving it close to the left edge.

The two slanted strips of patterned paper that I glued across the card are from the Cool Collab paper pad.

For the next layer I've die cut the Merry Christmas Circle Frame from black cardstock and glued it on top of the strips from patterned paper. I tucked it under just the corner of the red and white paper.

For the shaker with the image I used one of those darling images from the Selfies with Santa stamp set and colored it with Copics. Then I used the Rectangle Shaker Window and Frame die to die cut the frame several times from white cardstock. I stacked those on top of each other and then glued the image behind it. It doesn't fit in there completly but I think there's still enough of it left. I didn't like a square image on this card, so I went with the rectangle shaker.

For the word joy I used the Joy die by MFT and die cut it from red cardstock. Also here I stacked several on top of each other and then used foam tape to glue the word onto the card. 

Next to it I added a small to the world. I used a stamp from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set here and stamped it with red ink onto a strip of white cardstock. Then I attached it to the word joy.

In the end I added a few silver glittery Nuvo Drops to the card.

Und hier habe ich noch eine Nahaufnahme des Shakers mit Motiv - hier habe ich die Shaker Elemente mal verteilt. Ich habe ihn mit silber-holografischen Sechsecken sowie kleinen durchsichtig-irisierenden Sternchen gefüllt.

And here I took a close up of the shaker with the image - here I shaked it before taking the picture. I filled the shaker with silver holographic hexagons and some tiny clear iridescent stars.
