Sid Excellent progressive death metal. A great mix of modern and classic progressive metal that reminds me of Cynic, Opeth, Vardoger, and Insomnium.

I'm not a fan of clean vocals, but I can dig them in this album.

Everything sounds crystal clear without sounding sterile.

Highly recommended! Waiting for the new Monotheist as well!

Salami Dick Death An hour long musical masterpiece. Sort of how BTBAM would sound if they were actually Death Metal. Very interesting and badass. Favorite track: Nurture.

Tim I have only just recently discovered them with this release. I'm really digging this album, it's reminiscent of something Dan Swanö or Wilderun would produce, which I'm a fan of. Favorite track: Shiver.

LAMENTATIONS are back with their second full-length, following the 2016 debut album, Echoes in the Wind. Frontman Danny "Jungle" Jacob is now working with members from the sister band Monotheist: Chris Stropoli (Drums), Prophet (Guitar); and Jose Figueroa (Bass).

Passion Of Depression is a cinematic concept album that portrays the pain, pleasure, joy and sorrow that encompass one's life journey. Razor sharp, methodical riffs drive complex, serpentine compositions supported by a myriad of keyboards, and other classical instrumentation. The music on the album is supported by various guest musicians, who add a sense of mysticism to an already otherworldly journey, including guitarists Jason Gobel (ex-Cynic), Santiago Dobles (ex-Cynic), Ole Borud (Extol), Ethan Mckenna (Black Crown Initiate), Max Phelps (ex-Cynic, Exist), which are sure to elevate the album’s already multi-layered, grandiose and emotional sound even further.

Here's to some more cosmic metal, the Karlsruhe based outfit offers crude yet extremely well produced sound in this earlier effort. Featuring mid-tempo cadences, occasional blast beating, high pitched shrieking essentially, the riffing has this mildly meaty, sensational over-atmospheric tilt that's always well received on my part. The perspective of getting sucked into a wormhole had never felt better I kid you not. Emperor and Inherits the Void in mind, you just can't skip this one. doive

Derrick manages to bring a bit of his Dream Unending urges into Tomb Mold, and with great effect. Every track on this is a winner, but "Will of Whispers" feels the most forward-thinking, mixing melody with heaviness and a near-fusion level of musicianship.
