About me

I am a Brazilian Computer Engineering student at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). My studying focus is on Artificial Intelligence and Embedded Systems. I am always seeking to discover new things, enhance my skills, and have a passion for innovation.

I currently work as a Backend Developer at Mercado Eletrônico. I also develop projects related to sports analytics, applying artificial intelligence.

I am a volunteer member of the Computer Society (CS) and Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) UFPB Student Branch. You can learn more about me on my github or linkedin pages.

Projects Highlights

Smart Refund

Final Project for ASP.NET Course - Ada Tech & Mercado Eletrônico - 2024

Streamline the expense reimbursement process using advanced image processing techniques. This solution easily extracts crucial information from receipts and invoices, making expense detail entry quick, accurate, and efficient. It not only simplifies employee workflows but also speeds up financial department processes, allowing them to focus on strategic tasks. Simplify your workflow, eliminate errors, and save time.

Heat Map with Geotag Photos in João Pessoa

Digital Image Processing class project at UFPB - 2024

This project aims to identify the most visited places in João Pessoa using the Flickr platform to collect geotagged photos. These photos serve as the data source to generate a heat map highlighting the most frequented areas, and to segment it, allowing for more detailed analysis of regions of interest.

Capacitaded Vehicle Routing Problem with AI

AI class project at UFPB - 2023

The objective is to cluster instances from the literature and identify those similar to the studied article to gain knowledge about the set of high-quality instances available in the literature. It will assist in evaluating future algorithms that benchmark with these instances.

System for identifying salt and sugar in a solution

Project developed during the selection process for the LAIS laboratory at UFRN - 2020

Develop a system for the detection and analysis of salt and sugar in a solution, using the cyclic voltammetry technique. In order to accomplish this, concepts from electronics (operational amplifiers, current-to-voltage converter, filters, offset control) and programming (Python, Arduino, and ESP) were employed to simulate a prototype.

Low-cost computational platform for assessing aerobic conditioning in patients with spinal cord injuries

Research project at UFPB - 2019/2020

This project focuses on developing a low-cost device and software to track exercise performance, such as speed, time, and distance. The data is shown through a user-friendly app and visualized with charts to monitor progress. AI techniques are used to analyze patterns and help recommend the most suitable training approach for each individual.

Paraíba Humana e Inteligente

Software Develop at FAPESQ - 2020/2021

Foundation for Research Support in the State of Paraíba (FAPESQ) is a public institution, an integral part of the State Science and Technology System, with the aim of promoting the scientific and technological development of the State of Paraíba. The project's objective is to develop a platform to help public elementary school students, stimulating their logic skills through exercises.

Ammerican Kennel Club Group Classifier

AI class project at UFPB - 2023

The project aims to apply the knowledge of data processing and machine learning using a dataset containing information on 277 breeds extracted from the American Kennel Club website.

Extra Curricular Experience

IEEE UFPB Student Branch - President

Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. As President of the Student Branch at UFPB, I was responsible for the overall management of all matters related to the Branch, including: planning activities in conjunction with the board, task delegation, chairing meetings, proposing and developing technical activities with all UFPB Societies. The organization located at UFPB is advised by the Phd and professor Rômulo Filho (responsible for the LASER laboratory).

Robotic and Automation Society UFPB - President

IEEE Robotics and Automation Society's (RAS) objectives are scientific, literary and educational in character. RAS strives to advance innovation, education, and fundamental and applied research in robotics and automation. The Society located at UFPB is advised by the Phd and professor Thiago Pereira Nascimento (responsible for the LASER laboratory).

Robotic and Automation Society UFPB - Robotic instructor

Conducting weekly meetings for the study and practice of Robotics with university students, aimed at promoting knowledge in engineering and enhancing students' skill development. This initiative also serves to combat student attrition within the institution. These sessions cover basic electronics, programming for Arduino, and an introduction to embedded systems.

Logic Circuits I - Boolean Algebra - assistant instructor

A freshman class at UFPB that has the highest failing rates. Throughout the course, I gave lectures, provided support with exercises and projects, and conducted practical lessons on logic circuits. Additionally, I developed a laboratory guide to help students apply the course concepts through hands-on activities. Our work was granted a teaching initiation award by the University after the student pass rate increased from 60% to 90%.

Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) at IEEE UFPB Student Branch - Secretary

As Secretary of the Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) at IEEE UFPB Student Branch, I was responsible for organizing and promoting training sessions and notebooks for teaching content such as Python, Data Structures, Data Preprocessing, Exploratory Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and API handling. I also scheduled tutoring sessions to support participants' technical development, assisted in organizing meetings and completing minutes, and managed documentation for projects carried out by the chapter.
