I have had some dreams more real than actual memories, and this album makes me feel like they could actually come to life someday. There's an addictive element to the music similar to the buzz you get from jamming scissors into a wall socket (kids, don't try this at home 😉). The atmosphere of the album is one of a better world than I'll likely ever know - I feel optimistic energy and melancholy all at once. Talented musician, terrific label. I'll stop now.

There is something really nostalgic about this album. I think it's the combination of the familiar mid-00s drum loops, the saturated synth washes over everything, and the vocals hidden behind fuzz and reverb. It's hopeful and wistful, and a perfect headphone vibe for those days when stress eats at you. Welcome back to 2002. Where every sunset is purple.
