Kacchi Mitti — Hindi for raw clay — is the sole-authored music project of Pragun Bali: Singer-songwriter, Producer and a fairly stubborn believer that a song should hold up on one guitar before it earns anything else. The name is the whole idea. Unfinished, honest, human over polished. The songs get road-tested live across India — earned on stage first — then recorded with a rolling cast of collaborators, sole-authored but never made alone. Five Hindi, three English, one instrumental: the debut album A Gratifying Gravy faces the dark and comes out warm. Pragun has made original, live-performed music since 2012.
