Adding `http` library as a dependency

Run this command in a terminal, in your project's directory:

cargo add http

To add it manually, edit your project's Cargo.toml file and add to the [dependencies] section:

http = "1.4.0"

The http library will be automatically available globally. Read the http library documentation.

A general purpose library of common HTTP types

Usage

To use http, first add this to your Cargo.toml:

[dependencies]
http = "1.0"

Next, add this to your crate:

use http::{Request, Response};

fn main() {
    // ...
}

Examples

Create an HTTP request:

    let request = Request::builder()
      .uri("https://www.rust-lang.org/")

Create an HTTP response:

This project follows the hyper's MSRV policy, though it can be lower, and is currently set to 1.57.
