一体何が、普遍的な世界の価値観を決定するのかと言えば、本来、それは音楽や芸術、文学などの精神性を伴う文化であり、それぞれの国家がその時代によって暫定的に施行し、また変化して行く政治的イデオロギーでは決して無い。国家と言う概念が存在する限り、その全く不自由な枠組みをなす国境を巡って多くの対立が生まれてきた。どの国にも人を苦しめる争いを好む者（悪質な意図があるのだろうが）がいて、喜びや悲しみ、人間や自然の美しさを描き、歌い、踊るものたちがいる。どの国のどの時代にも良心を持って行動を続ける者たちがある。
それぞれの作品だけが我々に人々の心情を伝えてくれる。文学やクラッシック音楽、映像作品やバレーに偉大な作品を数多く残した国家が、血迷った論理で隣国に戦いを挑んでいても、その中でたくさんの言葉を用いずにその国民の深い良心だけが示せる音楽からその真実を感じ取って欲しい。
