Disarm

From Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki
Visual effect that appears over disarmed units.

Pugna

Disarm prevents the afflicted unit from attacking, although they can still cast abilities. When a disarmed unit is ordered to attack, they will attempt to stay within attack range of their target but will be unable to act. After the disarm's duration is over, they will resume attacking normally.

Instant Attack

[edit]
Main Article: Instant Attack

Most instant attacks rule for interaction with disarm is relatively intuitive: if the instant attack is generated outside of normal attack animation, it ignores disarm. If it is generated together with a normal attack animation (e.g. various multishot instant attacks), then the attack is trivially not generated due to the normal attack not being allowed.
