My Favorite Things is opening up the Vault again! This means some classic designs and favorites will be coming back! The release will be available on Tuesday, May 17th at 10 am EDT.

Today I'm starting off with a wedding card combining the Bride & Groom Die-namics with the Happily Ever After stamps.

First, I did some gradient ink blending on a white cardstock panel which is slightly smaller than the card base. I used Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink at the bottom and let it fade into white towards the top. The panel was attached to the card base with foam tape.

I die cut the wedding dress from white cardstock and made my own stencil with the swirl included in the die set. I used the same ink color for the stenciling and also on the little hearts. The suit was cut from a MSTN Black & White Plaid patterned paper. It was fun to paper piece the groom's outfit which I completed with white and black cardstock on the shirt, tie and buttons.

Next, I cut the hand-scripted Love Ya Die-namics from white cardstock, applied VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Metallic Platinum Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I paired the die-cut with a sentiment that I stamped onto a white rectangle and heat embossed it with Metallic Platinum Super Fine Embossing Powder.

Finally, I assembled the card by adhering the die-cuts with liquid glue and foam squares.

Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers Happy Wedding

Happy Friday everyone,

hubby needed a wedding card for a co-worker and I was glad to finally get to play with the amazing Simon Says Stamp «Beautiful Flowers» stamp set.

This gorgeous floral cluster is huge and I stamped it in VersaMark on «Petal Pink» cardstock by Stampin' Up! and heat embossed it in white. For the first time, I tried some coloring with Polychromos pencils (I only own 3 so far). I wanted to keep it soft and monochrome, so I only added shadows and minimal highlights.

The scripty sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set by Altenew and I heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I matted the panel onto SU «Gray Granite» cardstock and used the same light pink cardstock for my card base. To embellish the card, I adhered «Ice Cube Jewels» by Little Things from Lucy's Cards.

Stampin' Up! Swallowtail Wedding Card

Hi everyone,

the wedding season already started and I want to show you a card with one of my favorite stamps for this occasion – it's the beautiful «Swallowtail» from Stampin' Up!.

It's big enough to almost cover up a card front. I stamped it at an angle with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with the gorgeous «Under The Sea» Embossing Glitter by WOW!. I love all that sparkle! The sentiment is a combo of a German stamp set from www.danipeuss.de (Klartext-Stempel «Ein Blümchen für Dich») and SU! («Zum schönsten Tag im Leben»). I heat embossed it with WOW! «Metallic Platinum» Super Fine Embossing Powder. I embellished my card with some sequins.

Altenew Happy Wedding | Inktense Watercoloring

Hello everyone,

since it's raining all day, I finally had the time to sit down and play a little in my craft room. I created a wedding card using Altenew stamps and Derwent Inktense Pencils to do some simple Watercoloring. I really like the vibrancy of these pencils.

At first, I stamped this beautiful floral image from the «Best Mom» stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in clear. Then I colored the blossoms in pink and the leaves in green by layering the colors and blending them with water. I added a light grey shadow around the embossed image with a ZIG Clean Color Real Brush.

The sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set and I heat embossed it with the new Simon Says Stamp «Rose Gold» embossing powder. To embellish the card, I adhered Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some light pink droplets which were made with the fabulous WOW! «Melt-It!» embossing powder.

DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Chipboard Love Birds

Hi everyone,

today I have a new CAS inspiration card over at the Make it Crafty Store Blog featuring again some of the fabulous chipboards. I just love them!

I made a Wedding card with the two birds from the All About Love Elements Chipboard set. I die-cut this intricate Poppystamps «Chochitlan Wreath» once from green and the second time from Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» cardstock. Then I inlaid the inner piece into the wreath cut-out. I also die-cut the wreath a third time from pink cardstock to create the little berries.

The My Mind's Eye woodgrain paper was cut with the largest Simon Says Stamp «Stitched Rectangle» die. I stamped this scripty «Celebrate» from the gorgeous Avery Elle «Sentimental» set in VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. I also stamped the «Your Day» in VersaFine «Onyx Black». I adhered the panel directly to my grey top-folding card base.

Then I took the heart from the Outlined Words With Love Chipboard set and covered it with Avery Elle «Raspberry» pigment ink before heat embossing it in clear. After that I put my little love birds scene together and adhered it to my card using foam tape.

Congrats on your Wedding

Hi crafty peeps,

although the typical wedding season is already over I wanted to show you a cute Wedding card I made back in summer.

Therefore I combined several products from 6 different manufacturers ;-)

The birdies are some older Magnolia stamps and I colored them with Copics. Then I fussy cut both and embellished them with a crown and a hat from the Mama Elephant «Honey Bunny» stamp set. The large «congrats» sentiment («The Big, the Bold and You») and also the banner with the text inside («The Big, the Bold and Extras») are from Winnie & Walter. I heat embossed the sentiments in Gold and White.

For the background I used patterned paper from Stampin' Up! and then I did some Die-Cutting to finish my little scene. The cloudy border was made with one of the Mama Elephant «Landscape Trio» dies and I layered two die-cuts to create a bit of dimension. For the cloud in the left upper corner I used a Lawn Fawn («Spring Showers») die. The stitched rectangle die which frames the scene is also by Mama Elephant («Femme Frames»).

I decorated my card with Pretty Pink Posh «Sparkling Clear» sequins, tiny red die-cut hearts (ME «Confetti» die) covered with Glossy Accents and a small paper flower (SU punch and pearl).

DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Beach Wedding

Hi crafty peeps,

I'm back again with another Make it Crafty Clean & Simple inspiration card.

For this wedding card I created a fun scene by combining two MiC digi stamps: Over the Threshold and Tropical Beach.

For the sky background and the sand I did some Ink Blending using Dye Inks (Simon Says Stamp and Memento) and Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools. To secure the other images I masked them off. Therefore I did a lot of fussy cutting – but it was worth it in the end ;-) The rest of my beach wedding scene was colored with Copics.

To make the sentiment (which is from Stampin' Up! and means «Congrats to you two») pop against the sand I heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder.

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #324

Hi peeps,

with a bit of delay, I want to show you my card for the Everybody-Art-Challenge. This week's theme is «Wedding».

I used the beautiful «Irresistibly Yours Speciality DSP» from Stampin' Up!. It already has this glossy leaves design and it resists the color you can apply over it. I added some «Sea Glass» ink from Simon Says Stamp with my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I die-cut the border with one of the My Favorite Things «Stitched Basic Edges» Die-namics. The SU sentiment is heat embossed with my beloved «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder from Ranger. For the delicate wreath I used a Poppystamps die and cut it from silver glitter cardboard. I added three little vellum blossoms to the wreath and put some light blue pearls in the middle.

This time we used the beautiful «Doodlie-do» stamp set from Papertrey Ink:

And here is my take:

At first, I wanted to color in all these pretty flowers but then I thought they would also look great on vellum, which I cut to the same size as my ivory cardstock. I arranged the single images on my Fiskars stamp press, stamped them in VersaMark ink and heat embossed everything with white embossing powder. On the back of my card, I adhered the vellum with double-sided tape. Because of the soft and elegant look, I decided to make this a wedding card. So I stamped the «Happy For You» sentiment, which I also heat embossed in white and added some sparkling clear and golden Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

DT Everybody-Art-Challenge #301

Good morning everyone,

wow, time is really flying by these days! And although there are a whole bunch of holiday cards that I still need to make, I created a also required wedding card for the Everybody-Art-Challenge. The new theme is «Circle on the card».

Aren't these two bunnies just the cutest? They are from the «Honey Bunny» stamp set by Mama Elephant and I really like all the tiny accessories that are included, too.
I colored them with my Copics and did some fussy cutting along the edges. For the background I used the «Falling Hearts» die from Simon Says Stamp. I put a piece of KARS Glitter Cardboard in Lavender behind it – love all that sparkle! The sentiment («Bountiful Blessings» by Mama Elephant) was stamped onto vellum with VersaMark ink and heat embossed using the beautiful «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger. I also punched out a heart (SU «Heart to Heart» punch) and covered it with the same embossing powder to match my sentiment.

DT-Card Everybody-Art-Challenge #289

Guten Morgen meine Lieben,

für die letzte Everybody-Art-Challenge vor unserer Sommerpause lautet das Thema «Lieblingsstempel».

Natürlich habe ich nicht nur einen Lieblingsstempel ;o) – den großen Schmetterling «Swallowtail» von Stampin' Up! mag ich momentan aber besonders gern.

Diesmal habe ich das Motiv in VersaMark gestempelt und mit dem wunderschönen «Iridescent Sparkle» Embossing Powder von Judikins heiß embosst. Das funkelt und glitzert ganz wunderbar (nur lässt es sich schwer fotografieren). Der Cardstock in der Farbe «Aquamarin» stammt ebenso wie die Textstempel («Zum schönsten Tag im Leben») von Stampin' Up!. Den Spruch habe ich in «Liquid Platinum» von Ranger heiß embosst. Die Pailletten/Sequins sind von Pretty Pink Posh und die winzigen Halbperlen sind ebenfalls von SU.

Und da ich noch eine weitere Hochzeitskarte benötige, habe ich eine Variante in Beige/
Creme gewerkelt.

Der «Glückwünsche»-Stempel ist aus dem Set «Anlässlich» und ebenso wie die Strasssteine von SU.

So, nun bin ich auf Eure Lieblingsstempel gespannt und hoffe Ihr nehmt an unserer Challenge teil. Dieses Mal gibt es einen schönen Stempel zu gewinnen.

Am 2. September starten wir dann wieder bei EAC.

DT-Card Everybody-Art-Challenge #280

Guten Morgen miteinander,

heute gibt es wieder ein neues Thema bei der Everybody-Art-Challenge und es lautet «Bling Bling». Dafür entstanden ist diese Hochzeitskarte – ich habe mich dafür von der lieben Jenni Pauli inspirieren lassen.

Neben einigen Strasssteinchen habe ich auch noch kleine Halbperlen in die Mitte der ausgestanzten Itty Bitty-Blüten aufgeklebt. Für meine Verhältnisse ist das echt schon einiges an Bling Bling ;o)

Der schöne Stempel (ein älteres und bisher noch unbenutztes Schätzchen aus meiner Sammlung) heißt «Silhouette Kiss» und stammt von Inkadinkado. Ich habe ihn in Versamark gestempelt und weiß embosst. Der Cardstock (Cremeweiß, Kirschblüte und Schiefergrau) ist ebenso wie die verwendete Blütenstanze und der Blümchen-Stempel (aus dem Set «Confetti») von Stampin' Up!. Der wunderbare Spruch-Stempel ist von Alexandra Renke und die kleinen Herzen wurden mit dem «Mini Heart Collection»-
Die von Memory Box ausgestanzt.

DT-Card Stamp with Fun Challenge #213

Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben,

neue Woche – neue Stamp with Fun Challenge ;o)

Das Thema ist «Hochzeit» und irgendwie tue ich mich immer etwas schwer damit…

Da kam es mir doch sehr gelegen, dass ich neben diesem schnuckeligen Hochzeits-
motiv von Lili of the Valley auch noch einen passenden Papierblock hier liegen hatte. Die pastelligen Papiere in weiß, creme, blau und grün sind von NitWit Collections
(by Mary Fran) und man kann bereits 8 tolle Paper Pads (8" x 8") im LOTV Onlineshop erwerben. Und wer sich mit Digital Scrapbooking gut auskennt, der findet weitere schöne Kollektionen im Shop von NitWit Collections.

Coloriert habe ich wie immer mit meinen Copics und der Hintergrund wurde mit Pebbles Chalks gewischt. Auf den Blumen glitzert etwas Stickles und mit Liquid Pearls «Bisque» habe ich noch viele kleine Perlen-Punkte auf dem Brautkleid aufgetragen.

Der Rahmen ums Motiv wurde mit Dies von GoKreate und Spellbinders gestanzt und mit dem Motiv auf Foam Pads geklebt, um dem Ganzen etwas Dimension zu geben. Die filigranen Schmetterlinge sind mit einer Cheery Lynn Stanze entstanden. Der Spruch-
stempel und die ovalen Stanzer stammen von Stampin' Up!. An der Schleife des zarten gepunkteten Organzabands habe ich mit Leinenfaden ein Herz-Charm befestigt, das ebenso wie die Blumen und Perlen aus meinem Bastelfundus stammt.

Karen's Doodles Wedding Card

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

heute möchte ich Euch eine Hochzeitskarte zeigen, die ich mit einem Digi Stamp von Karen's Doodles (illustriert von Karen Johnson) gewerkelt habe.

Dieses Motiv passt wirklich gut zu einem jungen Pärchen und ich finde es einfach herrlich wie der Bräutigam seine Angetraute flotten Schrittes auf den Händen trägt :o)
Auch für diese Karte habe ich wieder das romantische Papier von Melissa Frances verwendet – es ist aufgrund seiner Farben und Muster perfekt für eine Hochzeit.

Coloriert habe ich wie immer mit meinen Copics und den hellblauen Schatten habe ich mit Chalk gewischt. Eine Portion Stickles durfte auf dem Brautkleid nicht fehlen und den Perlenschmuck und die Schuhe habe ich mit Liquid Pearls versehen.

Rechts unten habe ich mit einem simplen Büro-Datum-Stempel das Hochzeitsdatum gestempelt – wie Ihr seht, ist das große Ereignis doch schon ein paar Tage her ;o)
Die Papierkanten habe ich mit Old Paper (Distress Ink) geinkt und die wellengestanzte Papierbordüre ist noch mit ein paar Extra-Perlen geschmückt.

Hinter dem Motiv (aufgeklebt mit 3D-Pads) habe ich ein kleines Tag mit gestempelten Glückwünschen «versteckt», dass man ganz leicht herausziehen kann.

Und da ich so viel Spaß beim Gestalten der Vorderseite hatte, wurde die Innenseite auch noch passend aufgehübscht:

Der schöne Schmetterling ist mit einem Cheery Lynn Die  ausgestanzt und auf den Spellbinders-Kreis habe ich nachher noch unsere persönlichen Worte ans Brautpaar geschrieben.

Zu guter Letzt musste noch ein kleiner Umschlag für das Geldgeschenk her, der seinen Platz ebenfalls in der Karteninnenseite gefunden hat. Der Umschlag lässt sich mit einem kleinen Klettverschluss öffnen und schließen.

Nun ist die Hochzeitssaison so gut wie vorbei und es wird Zeit, dass ich mich langsam aber sicher den Herbst- und Weihnachtskarten widmen sollte.

Romantische Hochzeitskarte

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

heute zeige ich Euch eine Hochzeitskarte im romantischen Shabby Chic-Look.

Für diese Karte habe ich nur 1! Designpapier benötigt – es ist von Melissa Frances
und passt einfach wunderbar zum Thema «Hochzeit». Die Farben und Muster sind
so schön soft und ich habe nur noch den Text und den schnörkeligen Rahmen (beides von Stampin' Up!) gestempelt. Wenn man wie in meinem Fall den Text genau im Rahmen platzieren möchte, ist der praktische Stamp-a-ma-jig einfach unverzichtbar. Denn mithilfe dieses Stempelpositionierers ist nachher auch alles wo es hingehört.
Das Organza-Rosen-Band (leider nicht ganz günstig) habe ich in einem Stoffladen gefunden (Ihr könnt es auch bei Wild Orchid Crafts kaufen) und es ziert nun die untere Kartenkante. Natürlich durften auch Perlen nicht fehlen und die 2 Heart Pins habe ich mit Häkelspitze zusammengebunden (sie sollen das frisch getraute Brautpaar symbo-
lisieren). Die Schmetterlinge habe ich aus Pergamentpapier ausgestanzt und am Rand ganz leicht mit Stempelfarbe (Antique Linen) geinkt.

Stamp with Fun Challenge # 161

Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben,

heute zeige ich Euch meine erste Hochzeitskarte, die ich anlässlich der aktuellen Stamp with Fun Challenge gewerkelt habe. Das süße Vogelpärchen ist wieder ein Digi-Stamp von Sylvia Zet und ich fand sie als Hochzeitsmotiv sehr passend.

Und da ich die bald frisch Vermählten persönlich gar nicht kenne, habe ich mich bei meiner Motivwahl gegen die Magnolia-Stempel aus der Wedding Collection von 2010 entschieden. Obwohl ich diese unbedingt mal verwenden möchte – na ja, vielleicht das nächste Mal.
Das schöne romantische Motivpapier ist von Pion Design und eignet sich sehr für den Vintage-/Shabby Chic-Look, den ich total hübsch finde, ihn aber selbst noch nicht so gut hinbekomme. Die kleine cremefarbene Rose ist aus Filz und handgerollt – was für eine Fummelarbeit ;o)

Die weiße Bordüre um den Kreis habe ich mit einem Martha Stewart Bordürenstanzer ausgestanzt, unten eingeschnitten, dann hinten um den Kreis gelegt und festgeklebt. Hatte keinen Doily o.ä. in dieser Größe zur Hand und musste mir halt etwas anderes überlegen. Dann hier und da noch ein paar Dekoelemente mit Perlen, die ja auch gut für den Anlass geeignet sind. Und da bei meiner Freundin dieses Jahr noch 2 weitere Hochzeiten im Freundeskreis anstehen, kann ich vielleicht bald die nächste Hochzeitskarte basteln.
