The EP opener, "Cut the Roses", is a nocturnal tale in which the protagonist finds himself talking to himself while he wanders drunk and broken through the streets of an unmentioned city.
He becomes poetically lucid about his fear of opening up to others, and describes his infinite night to a person who was dear to him but whose absence is deafening.
