Born in Longyearbyen, but I've been living for the past 5 years in the Brazilian city of Parintins, in the state of Amazonas, home to the lungs of the world: the Amazon, the largest tropical rainforest on Earth. I’ve learned a lot from the natives of this continent, which also makes me really miss the people I come from, the Sámi. On a visit to the Nahukwá people —unfortunately the smallest native group on this continent— I went into a trance after drinking a tea made from the sacred plant ayahuasca, which took me on a deep journey of self-discovery. After returning, I decided to dedicate myself to writing songs that reflect the Sámi people and Scandinavian music in general.
