This is a 1968/69 recording of "Harry Nilsson".....I think it was about his 3rd or 4th L/P most of the songs on it are his and it gives a glimpse of was what to come later....A great selection of tracks even the ones that are not written by him are excellent....I assume it is him on the front!! 1. The Puppy Song 2. Nobody Cares About The Railroad Anymore 3. Open Your Window 4. Mother Nature's Son 5. Fairfax Rag 6. City Life 1. Mournin' Glory Story 2. Maybe 3. Marchin' Down Broadway 4. I Guess The Lord Must Be In New York City 5. Rainmaker 6. Mr Bojangles 7. Simon Smith And His Amazing Dancing Bear
A great Nilsson L/P just proving what a good singer and lyric writer he was....although with the exception of a couple of his hit tracks most of the songs on this L/P once you have heard them they stick in the memory even tho' you will hear them just once.....great track is "Don't Leave Me"......Great Stuff !!
1. Good Old Desk 2. Don't Leave Me 3. Mr Richland's Favorite Song 4. Little Cowboy 5. Together
1. Everybody's Talkin' 2. I Said Goodbye To Me 3. Little Cowboy 4. Mr Tinker 5. One 6. The Wailing Of The Willow 7. Bath
I think that this one could be one of Nilsson's non comercial efforts....It certainly has a lot of guest musicians...produced by him and all the tracks are his own work....Got that "West Indies" "Jamaica" feel to....It took me quite a while to work out the Title of the L/P...thought it was French....then one day "Duh"....got it !!!
This has been recorded as Track 1 all the first side...most of the tracks run into one another Side 2 is Tracks 2 to 6 ...
