Lutsu and Razor team up for a heavyweight collab on ‘Certy’.
Taking elements from drill, grime, and a smattering of other UK club genres, ‘Certy’ outstrips the sum of its parts - on a foundation of Lutsu’s on-point production and tied together by vocals from East London’s Razor, it makes for a track that sounds equally at home in a club set, in headphones or on radio.
Hackney-based Razor has become known for his chops as a live MC, recording artist, DJ, and presenter - sharing stages with the likes of Flowdan and Manga St Hilare, and holding down a residency on the renowned Reprezent Radio. Previously lending his vocals to tracks from producers like Low End Activist, Hamdi and KXVU, Razor is in full flow on ‘Certy’, driving along Lutsu’s hybrid UK club production and delivering line after memorable line.
Lutsu is a South London-based producer who has recently embarked on a new solo journey after spending most of his career behind-the-scenes working on production for other artists. Releasing his debut under the Lutsu alias earlier in 2023 on Ratface Records, he also holds down a residency on Deptford’s AAJA Radio, and has appeared on lineups with the likes of Chloé Robinson, Overmono, and Addison Groove.
