Twist Fold Card

Good evening everyone,

As I'm sure you know by now I love making fancy fold cards and am always on the look out for new ideas to try out.

I've had this one in my Pinterest boards for quite a while now and finally got round to trying it out 😊

Its a Twist Fold Card that looks like a cute little 4 panelled card, but once you take the band off pulls out to reveal a hidden message and measures about 8" sq

I used the beautiful Simple Creative Country Garden papers and Dovecraft butterfly & sentiment stamps from +Trimcraft Ltd

If you fancy having a go a making one of these yourself - I have popped instructions over on the Tutorial Page

Exploding Surprise

Hi all,

Thought I'd show you today a recent class card that I have taught - from the front it looks like a normal Gatefold card but when you open it up you get a nice exploding surprise.

As you can see with my class cards we don't tend to decorate much and the emphasis is on the actual folding technique of the card. So just a few flowers were added to the front of these cards.

They went down really well and my ladies enjoyed making these.

I have popped the instructions on how to make these over on my Tutorial Blog

Pocket Card

Hi all,

Today I have a cute little pocket card I made using the fabulous Santoro Mirabelle collection from Trimcraft.

I did this style of card with my classes a while back and have been totally loving the design since - and have made quite a few in different designs.

Its such and easy card to make, but looks so effective and makes it a bit more special having the little tag to pull out with the message on the back.

If you're interested in the measurements - I have popped them on my tutorial blog

Pretty Purse

Hi all,

I'm back today to show you a little inspiration I have posted over on the MMCS Blog.

Our theme this is week is bags/boxes and so for my creation I have made a cute little Purse Box.

The box is made using a 12 x 12 piece of card and scoring into shape. The flap was created using a scalloped circle nestie, stuck to the back and a little velcro on the front so that it can be opened.  I used some gorgeous papers from the First Edition range - New Bloom and the flower was cut from the paper, I used 3 different lengths of ribbon platted together for the handle and added a little metal butterfly and brad to finish.

Here are the instructions and measurements if you wish to have a go yourself

Please do check out the MMCS blog during the week to see my teamies fabulous creations.

Little Star

Hi all,

I have used the gorgeous image Happy Christmas Little Star - which is available in the Store now along with lots of other stunning images.

Happy Christmas Little Star

I teamed the image with some gorgeous paper from LOTV - Woodland Wishes - the patterns and colours in this pad are just devine and would also suit Winter Birthdays as well as just Christmas.

The flowers are a mixture of WOC & Hobbycraft and the lovely Die Cut leaves I added behind are a Joy Crafts Die Vintage Flourish 6003/0026

I finished off with a organza polka dot bow & snowflake charm. The large sparkly snowflake is a Tree Decoration I picked up from Adsa (about £2 for 10 I think) lol.

Christmas Starburst

Hi all,

Thought I'd pop on today and show you a card I taught in class a few weeks ago. The card design is called a Starburst and I found the original inspiration for it over on Pinterest. I gave it a bit of a tweak to suit my class and added a rosette where the points joined.

The rosette was made using a Tim Holtz die and a bit of ribbon hid the join where the papers met. I love how you can make the card look totally different just by changing the papers and the design can be used for so many occasions.
