- personal shopper had a great premise with a promising opening but the spirits were too explicit and ruined a lot of the suspense and ambiguity, the scene where she is sitting outside towards the end was how the spirits should have been portrayed the whole movie. Nitpicking the texting is cliche and over done but the green screening of the phones and laptops was very well done. other than the spirits, great acting, cinematography was beautiful and meaningful and locations were great. The themes of grief are extremely powerful especially in the last scene, the film feels as though she is using her beliefs of being a medium to connect with her lost sibling leaving the audience to make their own decision as to is it a ghost movie or a personal struggle with grief?AddedSep 3, 2018
- Black Swan a movie about dedication and self determination. Arenofsky makes intense and emotionally harrowing films that truly impacts and moves the audience. Natalie Portman didn’t feel like an actress at all she was Nina she was a beautiful dancer she embodies her characters so well this is definitely the best role i’ve seen her in. the turn she takes in the film to truly become her character as the black swan to her eventual death used surreal techniques from the feathers and her disillusions. pushing her body to the extremes she was more than determined to become even if that meant disassociating and becoming a new character. the hand held camera movements mixed with the lack of long shots, felt as though we were trapped with Nina the whole film every delusion and every emotion was portrayed so heavily it became hard to tell what was reality and what was fiction. even when she was dancing the camera was following her closely as if we were shadowing her. the locations were grand and beautiful along with the music and supporting actors. this film will definitely stay with me for a long time as one of the best thrillers of the century.AddedSep 4, 2018
- Silver Linings Playbook was about a man with a lot of mental health issues and a problematic love life meeting a woman with equal amount of mental health and underlying relationship issues falling in love. Bradly Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence depict mental health in such a fresh and real way I never felt i was taken out of the movie it was pure and realistic. Robert Deniro playing Coopers father was beyond brilliant in his role, of a father who is dealing with his own anger issues but wants to support his youngest son. themes of mental health and unrequited love are so beautifully unfolded throughout the film. camera work is meaningful with a mixture of hand held mostly on Coopers character and Lawrence’s symbolising their instability but smooth camera work when they are performing show and practicing their performance shows their coming together towards he end of the film. Overall this is a fantastic original romantic drama that i would recommend.AddedSep 4, 2018
- this is a beautiful movie highlighting the important work of african american women in NASA that was left out of our history books. the performances of these women were more than believable they were outstanding and deserve all the praise they were getting. i am not usually a fan of historical event movies but the cinematography, costuming, colour grading, plot progression and performances made this an incredible movie. although i do have to say this is probably just a one time watch as i’m not a fan of the genre still did not take away from the time i hadAddedSep 4, 2018
- never wanted it to end. the animations in spirited are so beautiful i never wanted to see it end, not to mention that beautiful character development. beautiful story and beautiful animation i can not wait to rewatch this in the futureAddedSep 6, 2018

- fantastic film with a lot of heart. this has an amazing set designer and lighting designer, it was every part over the top and beautiful. i’m not a big fan of musicals but this i would proudly watch again. i love how they didn’t follow he cliche happy ride into the sunset ending. the chemistry of gosling and stone is undeniably beautiful. overall a great watchAddedSep 7, 2018
- fantastic first episode. tention builds, cinematography is beautiful and acting is wonderfulAddedSep 7, 2018
- witty yet hard hitting film. spike lee is a fantastic film maker, the cinematography and colours are stunning without the cliche nostalgia. i felt so moved by this film i have no words. it almost made me feel cynical towards the worldAddedSep 8, 2018
- Darren Aronofsky doesn’t hold back from creating disturbing and psychologically painful films and Requiem for a Dream is no exception. this is the most disturbing films i’ve ever seen, the way drug abuse is portrayed feels so real i got chills. only complaint is that it didn’t age well with some of the references. but the pacing, cinematography and build up were immaculateAddedSep 9, 2018
- had a few cute moments but overall a terrible romantic movie, definitely over ratedAddedSep 10, 2018
- absolutely beautiful in every way. your name was so exceptional in every way i truly loved every aspect. i can not pick a fault the animation was beautiful the build up, plot and characters were stunning. i would definitely recommend thisAddedSep 10, 2018
- one of the most messed up movies i’ve ever seen. this was an incredibly beautiful movie visuals wise, cinematography and colours were amazing. the build up was well done but the pacing was more on the slow side not a negative just an observation. as for the meaning i saw this as a religious metaphor for jesus’s sacrament.AddedSep 11, 2018

- character development is amazing, cinematography is okay not the best but it does the job for television, the sets are stunning but i felt they could have done a much better job of the send off of mike and rachelAddedSep 20, 2018
- i absolutely hate how much i loved this. the cinematography and colours were so beautiful, the chemistry and the character progression was just so pretty. i really loved thisAddedOct 1, 2018
- Hereditary is easily the most terrifying horror movie in past two decades. instead of following the horror genres formula, it breaks away through its pacing, dialogue, symbolism and visual effects . usually there is a ‘perfect’ family to start off with then slowly throughout the film something goes wrong in the house leading to the death of everyone in the family or leaving one. but Hereditary’s pacing begins with terror within the first 15 minutes, there was one scene where i had to stop the movie and gather myself it was truly spine tingling. it does follow the traditional 30 minutes rule where the last 30 minutes has the most intense parts, but it’s not out of left field, the films pacing is terrifying up until the very last second. dialogue is also another key component, it is extremely realistic when the son and mother were talking about going to the ‘school barbecue’ it really did have the mother son power dynamic. the symbolism through the film was subtle yet powerful, which i think makes it an incredibly good film to rewatch and pick up the clues to the ending. the visual effects were immaculate, my favourite part was when the son was being possessed in his classroom, how they made his face construct like that i was blown away. Hereditary is the most terrifying film i have even seen and is a breath of fresh air for the horror genre.AddedOct 3, 2018
- great first few episodes can’t wait to binge this
one of the best animated series i’ve ever seen, such depth and development to the characters. while being a comedy this series does a lot to unpack addiction and mental health. would definitely recommendAddedOct 4, 2018 - the cinematography was beautiful the way it captured the colours and the small set they were given it was aesthetically appealing. the acting of the main character lily was portrayed extremely well i loved her performance. but the writing was terrible i didn’t like the long monologues and the story was not great either but the cherry on top the visual effects of the ghost were comedically awful honestly who signed off on that.AddedOct 4, 2018

- this film had such an incredible first half i was anticipating such a great ending. but i was sadly let down by a cliche money selling ending. with all the character development, beautiful screen writing, cinematography and writing this film had such potential but ruined it with the over use of sub plots especially within the ending. i would give the first half a 10 and the last third a 1 starAddedOct 20, 2018
- WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!
such a powerful and moving film. i loved every second of this film i cant pick it apart there is not a single negative. all the artistic choices to not fully delve into his drug addiction and diagnosis was a choice to let every age of the new generation a film about an icon and they didn’t just not include it but they subtly hinted to every aspect but it’s a 2hr movie not a 17 year special. overall rami maleks performance was 12/10 spectacular i couldn’t have asked for more. every single aspect was phenomenal i can’t wait to see it againAddedNov 5, 2018 - AddedNov 7, 2018
- beautiful and moving. the performance given by both armie and timothy was so beautiful, the intimacy of the dialogue and the camera work made the film feel warm. the scenery made me want to pack up and move to italy, it was like watching a love letter. the pure emotion in the last scene with his father telling him about sadness and how not to block it out was so powerful i think the whole movies leads to this point. overall an incredible filmAddedNov 7, 2018

- incredibly beautiful film. it felt so similar to moonrise kingdom yet so different. it really was a beautiful film with the dialogue and the relationship between him and his brother. the only thing i would change was the super rock and roll sequence at the school dance, it was way over the top and almost ruined it. but i would definitely watch againAddedNov 9, 2018
- completely and utterly ridiculous i cant stop watching.AddedNov 10, 2018
