In order to prevent stars Dany Robin and John Fraser from catching pneumonia, their private caravans were filled with warmed bath towels, dressing gowns, slippers, hot-water bottles, several changes of clothes and large quantities of brandy. As well as this, both actors wore thermal underwear beneath their costumes, a requirement of the company insuring the film.
