    Electrifying Climax

I have to say firstly that the sound on my copy was fairly poor.At times i found it very difficult to make out what was being said. However what i will say is that this was a slightly different entry in the Edgar wallace series since the main issue was which of the main protagonists would get to murder the other first.I have to say that i am not a great fan of adding a dominant love interest to these type of films so i have to admit that this was not greatly to my taste. The best bit is the climax. One of the main characters has made the swimming pool in the garden "live".So to touch anything metal is going to electrocute you.All the main characters gather round the swimming pool. Some know that the pool is live others don't know. There is a lot of horseplay and people nearly falling in.Then the inevitable happens. You will have to watch this to find out what happens. However the climax doesn't entirely make up for the dull plot that precedes it.

    Settling an old score.

Colonel Paxton entertains his ward and her intended, in a slightly fraught atmosphere, the situation is thrown into deeper anxiety when a face from Paxton's past, Paul Lanson arrives, with one clear aim, revenge.

I am a little surprised by the relatively low score this has, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked the characters, the motivations, the heavy feeling of suspense and tension. It's less obvious then some, it doesn't exactly get straight to the crime, indeed it doesn't occur until late on, but there is an undercurrent running throughout, you need to be patient.

Once or twice I've found entries in this series a little challenging to follow at times, with various strands and threads not always making sense, Accidental Death however is tightly written, easy to follow, satisfying and logical.

Satisfying performances, from Carson, Vernon and Ellis, as well as Derrick Sherwin, although I tend to associate him with his writing on Dr Who.

    Very satisfying, 8/10.

    8/10.
