- Spring Tyler: You did. Nobody else would dare.
- William Ashton: Sleeping in pajamas is something people do without even thinking about it. That's all there is to it. People sleep in pajamas.

- Spring Tyler: Uh-huh, a long time ago. Why do you seem so surprised? I'm not ignorant!
- Spring Tyler: You don't catch me painting myself up, do you? Wearing all kinds of hooks and straps and pumping perfume all over me enough to make a pig sick of the smell.
- William Ashton: That's not all there is to being a girl.
- Spring Tyler: Well it's enough to turn *me* against it.
- William Ashton: You still angry with me?
- Spring Tyler: Nope. I get over things fast; especially people and other diseases.
- William Ashton: You don't think much of people, do you?
- Spring Tyler: I don't know many of them. But if the ones I don't know are like the ones I know, then I don't want to know the ones I don't know.
- William Ashton: I doubt he's having a very good time over there.
- Spring Tyler: You don't know him. When he's having the worst time, that's when he's having the best.
- Spring Tyler: What are you thinking so hard about?
- William Ashton: You really want to know?
- Spring Tyler: You tell me what it is, and I'll tell you if I want to know.
- William Ashton: Will you do me a big favor Spring?

- William Ashton: Everybody else calls me Bill.

- Tommy Tyler: You don't have to assure me of nothing. I know Springer.
