    A Pinky and mouse game...

The Pink Panther cartoons are mostly lots of fun, though some of the later ones are not quite so good. And that is the case with Pinknic. If you are familiar with the Pink Panther cartoons though, there won't be much story-wise that will come across as surprising, and the ending is a little rushed and not as funny as the rest. The gags are inventive and highly amusing, the lively pacing helps. The animation is clean and colourful with everything lovingly drawn, and some visual ideas like seeing the mouse through Pinky's sleeping eyelids are really clever. The music is still catchy and infectious, it's the sort of music you hear a lot but it never gets old, or at least to me it doesn't. Pinky is cool and fun as well as instantly likable, and I loved how the mouse was the sort of foil who couldn't have been more different in personality to how he looked. Their outsmarting of one another while somewhat predictable at times is still a lot of fun to watch. In conclusion, fun and inventive with the lead characters on great form. 8/10 Bethany Cox

    No catfood!

The Pink Panther is staying a mountain cabin for the holiday season but gets barricaded inside when a massive snowfall blocks his every exit. Since the snow doesn't melt until March, he's left with no option but to scour the cabin for anything edible. But he has to put up with a pesky mouse who is also out for a bite to eat.

The mouse quite fancies a bite out of Pinky, who himself is frying pictures of fish cut out of magazines. And Pinky don't quite like having his tail devoured. The usual cat and mouse (literally this time) game follows and is topped off by a pretty amusing twist. An above average cartoon.

Finally, conclusive proof that these pun titles are picked at random and bear no relation to the content of the episodes. I mean - there's not even a little bit of a picnic here. Instead it's a brutal panther-and-mouse starvation stand-off in a snowed-in cabin. Brilliantly dark, yes, but no picnic.

    Pink Panther vs. Mouse

The Pink Panther is hibernating in a cabin during the winter and, void of food, decides to go look for some. However, he becomes wanted food for a hungry mouse, who tried endlessly to make a meal out of the panther. As a result, it's an all-out battle between panther and mouse.

The mouse has a rather annoying and personality. And, that motor mouth! The panther always have problems with mice; wished he would had given it a good smack or two instead him being almost outsmarted by it. But, it's a rather funny cartoon with some surprises and twists. Entertaining cartoon for the entire family.

A Mouse With A Lot Of Bite

Our hero is up in the mountains in some log cabin. There are seven blankets piled on his bed. He obviously needs to stay, but immediately is frozen when he opens the front door and a ton of snow falls into the cabin. After thawing out, he decides to make breakfast but finds out his place is devoid of food! After looking at his calendar, he sees the first day of spring isn't until three more months. He pictures himself as a skeleton by then .

A little mouse comes out of his hole and pictures the same thing after he sees no cheese in the mousetrap. This is the mouse from Hell, as it turns out. He's got teeth like razor blades and he immediately goes after the Pink Panther to eat him!

The rest of the cartoon is a battle between the PP and the mouse - two starved creatures going at each other, almost like a Tom & Jerry cartoon, expect this is a vicious little mouse!

One of the most clever bits I've seen in a cartoon is the part in which we see the advancing mouse through the sleeping eyelids of the Panther, which slowly open and close as we seeing the advancing opponent ready to strike.

The ending was a little weak, but at least there was a twist to it. Overall, this was very inventive and fun to watch and is an above-average cartoon.
