Factual errors

In the movie, Tchaikovsky's sister Sasha dies during the work on the 6th symphony "Pathétique". In real life, she died in 1891 while Tchaikovsky started working on "2Pathetique" in 1892 and released it a year later.
The friendship between Nadezhda von Meck and Tchaikovsky started in 1873. In the movie it starts after the release of the 1st piano concert, first played in pubic n 1875.
Modest Tchaikovsky's student Nikolay Kondradi's nickname was "Kolya" as it is the correct Russian short version of Nikolay. In the movie he is called Koyola.

Anachronisms

Tchaikovsky's Symphony 5 op 64 can be heard in a scene that takes place in 1877, while the work was released in 1888.
