This Peret and Conchita Bautista recital is a lively but mediocre musical comedy with romance and a lot of songs.

One of the vehicles of the catalán singer Peret made for his personal success, the formula consists of creating a slight melodramatic plot with hilarious touches, which would allow the insertion of musical numbers performed by the star of the show, though this time he's well accompanied by Conchita Bautista. Being accompanied by a good cast of established secondary actors. The film is a light and sympathetic comedy with no artistic values that has as its background a love story. Adelina (Conchita Bautista) is the nurse of Dr. Nicolas Marlasca (José Luis López Vázquez), a renowned psychiatrist who is about to marry Angel (Patty Shepard). One of his patients is Marcelo (Antonio Ozores), owner of a chain of nightclubs, one of whose establishments is about to become the home of Pedro (Peret), a well-known rumba dancer. Pedro falls in love with Angels, and in order to get closer to her, he decides to say that he urgently needs the psychiatrist's care. The psychiatrist tells him of a major ailment: women mean absolutely nothing to him, hence the title. The procedure to cure Pedro is to put him in contact with increasingly beautiful and seductive women, but Pedro seems beyond help, until he himself suggests that he could be cured if the cure were Angela.

A comedy that draws on the rumbas of Peret and the songs of Conchita Bautista. This is a typical light and inconsequential film created to showcase both artists by the prolific Mariano Ozores, which already hints at some slight pseudo-erotic touches, the maximum allowed by the rigid Francoist regime of the time. These erotic touches by Mariano Ozores would increase exponentially in the following decade, in which he would continue with a series of farcical jokes, lewd humor, and constant nudity, especially in the films starring Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares.

Fifth feature film by 'Rumbero' Peret built for his show, here he plays Pedro, he is a famous singer who falls in love with a psychiatrist assistant and decides to go to a doctor with the story that he does not like women, then the psychiatric nurse helps him with the girl as she is in love with the doctor. This is a joyful as well as entertaining Spanish musical comedy with a brief romantic drama, averagely made by Mariano ozores and financed by producer José Antonio Cascales; however, Benito Perojo was the powerful producer who discovered and produced most of Peret's films. So, Pered played a few films, such as: ¨Amor a todo gas¨ by Ramón Torrado, ¡Qué cosas tiene el amor! By Germán Lorente, ¨El mesón del gitano¨ by Antonio Román, ¨A mí las mujeres, ni fu ni fa¨ by Mariano Ozores ó ¨El Taxi de los conflictos'¨by José Luís Saenz de Heredia. A mí las mujeres, ni fu ni fa (1971) is an uneven and silly movie with a lousy plot and attractive musical set pieces and in final takes places the ordinary happy end, of course. Thus, the final half hour is set in the mountains near Madrid, in a hotel where the usual vaudeville-style scenes take place, with constant mix-ups of rooms and doors, pretty girls in nightgowns and bras, and a host of ridiculous entanglements. All of them in absurd and disconcerting situations, typical of Mariano Ozores' films. This is a charming story proceeded in simplicity and lighthearted , providing a lot of chances of singing . The main role "Peret" is played by himself in a phenomenal way , can be said that he is perfectly adequate to his measure . Of course , Peret steals the show as a splendid singer in Spanish style : he created the ' Rumba Catalana'. Peret was a Spaniard gypsy singer and guitarist, best known for his 1971 hit single "Borriquito" (the Mosquito song). He was one of the best known singers of Spanish songs both in Spain and internationally . Represented Spain at the 1974 Eurovision song contest. Co-stars another Spanish singer star, Conchita Bautista, also famous at the time, who unexpectedly displays some surprising comedian skills. Along with them, a plethora of the known actors who elevate the film, such as: Patty Shepard, Antonio Ozores, José Sazatornil 'Saza', Gracita Morales, José Luis López Vázquez and brief appearance of a young Barbara Rey, still active, though now in the world of celebrity and television talk shows.

The film was mediocre, bordering on awful, directed by Mariano Ozores. Stajanovist filmmaker Mariano Ozores, though it failed at boxoffice and it results to be an obscure film . Mariano directed a large number of comedies and in 1964 shot a Sci-fi flick : La hora incognita . As Mariano Ozores wrote , produced and directed the former movie, but was a real flop and he was bankrupt. Then Mariano promised at the future only to make comedies . Although it won prize of the National Syndicate of Spectacle to best actor José Luis Ozores and Best artistic Achievement . Mariano recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . Ozores made with two famous comedians , -Fernando Esteso and Andres Pajares- several successful films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨ , ¨El Hijo Del Cura¨, .these films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended . Mariano directed 93 films , most of them were comedies , though made some dramas as "Alegre Juventud" and "Las Dos y Media y veneno" with José Luis Ozores. Mariano directed a lot of comedies for the greatest Spanish comedians as Paco Martinez Soria , José Luis López Vázquez , Lina Morgan , Alfredo Landa , Jose Sacristán and the successful duo : Fernando Esteso and Andrés Pajares. Rating: 4/10. Only recommended for Peret fans.
