When the Reverend takes the bag from the kids during the lesson, Angel's face is shown, but in that shot, she is clearly outside; grass can be seen around her. In the following shot, she is again inside, grass nowhere to be seen.
There are two spelling errors in the opening titles: the production company is called Tigron instead of Tigon (in the copyright notice beneath the main title), and screen veteran James Hayter is billed as James Hoyter.
There are two typos in all recent home video and TV versions of this film: Production company Tigon is rendered as 'Tigron' and actor James Hayter is rendered as 'Hoyter'. However, this wasn't always the case: When previewed as "Satan's Skin", those typos did not exist. The on-screen title of the theatrical release was subsequently changed to "Blood on Satan's Claw", again without typos. This is the version which played in UK cinemas and on VHS and TV until the relatively recent appearance of a print which renders the on-screen title as "The Blood on Satan's Claw", complete with typos which are now mistakenly regarded as part of the original film. In fact, the new "The" at the beginning of the title could be described as a typo in itself, since it wasn't in the original version.
When the young girl is repeatedly stabbed with a pair of scissors in the middle of the film, there is no blood on the scissors.
In the first scene, Cathy (Wendy Padbury) calls out "Hello!" in greetings to Ralph (Barry Andrews).
During a scene when a girl is swung into a river (at 1:04:14), a crew member's hand is in the shot to stop the actor from hitting the camera.
