    Panther meets the Ape Man.

Pink Panther journeys through the jungle and runs into the pointy-nosed man again, this time as Tarzan the Ape Man. His speed-talking wife talked his ear off, wanting him to get her a pink mink, so, the man is out to hunt down the panther for his pink fur. But, the Pink Panther is up to his clever wits again, outsmarting the man on a number of occasions.

This is one of the better Pink Panther cartoons of the 1970s, in my opinion. You get to see the panther in his more clever and witty self and he gets the upper hand in this story. The ape man's wife talking in fast, chipmunk language was hilarious, and the animals tossing the panther around was funny as well. A very entertaining cartoon - one of the better ones featuring the Pink Panther.

Reasonably entertaining though could have been more

A vast majority of the Pink Panther cartoons make for a good watch, and It's Pink But Is it Mink is that. There is much better in the series but also there's worse as well, if anything this is somewhere in the middle. The ending for me was unfunny and one that you can smell a mile off, what happened before it was quite entertaining and for it to end on that predictable a note was a shame. Jane, even for an overbearing wife, was rather annoying and the way she was drawn was not very appealing either, she also has very little to do. The pacing could have had more energy and some of the animation especially in the couple of scenes with the Little White Man(filling in the Tarzan role) is sparse and dully coloured. Most of the animation is quite good though, it flows smoothly, while very simple the backgrounds do have detail and I loved the vibrancy of the colours at the start. The music is as catchy and slinky as ever, the jazzy nature of it give it a cool vibe that will appeal to anybody and the theme tune has lost none of its timeless value. The story is a rather routine one with a formula that has been seen many times before with the Pink Panther cartoons, but the gags and the chemistry between Pinky and The Little White Man make it interesting. The gags are never hilarious but they do raise a good smile and chuckle and apart from the ending none are less than amusing. Pinky's coolness and likability as well as his subtle comic timing shine and the Little White Man is appropriately antagonistic(though other Pink Panther cartoons do a better job at allowing us to feel sorry for him), and for a character acting like Tarzan it is entertainment in itself to see how inept he is at doing it. In conclusion, could have been more but entertaining and colourful nonetheless, not a must-watch but hardly a waste of time. 6/10 Bethany Cox

Jane's dialog to Tarzan - "you hockey puck", "knock off that jazz before I give you a knuckle sandwich", "you dumb bimbo", and "you've got all the brains of a porcupine" - were spoken by Mel Blanc, sped up to double speed and played in reverse.
