Michael Scott: Must've been a hell of a party. Are you locked out?
Julia Richardson: That's very clever of you. Unless a man might have thought I was praying to Mecca.
Michael Scott: That's impossible.
Julia Richardson: Hmm?
Michael Scott: [points to his left] Mecca's over that way.

[Michael Scott watches as Julia Richardson struggles to open the door to her apartment]
Michael Scott: Looks like fun. Mind if I join in?
Julia Richardson: Why don't you take a run at the wall? If you burst through, the key's in the dresser. Alternately, you could try to be quiet. Very distant.
[Michael smiles as he reenters his apartment]

Michael Scott: It's not very tidy, I'm afraid.
Julia Richardson: Phone?
[Michael looks at the desk and points at the telephone]
Michael Scott: Oh, there, help yourself.
Julia Richardson: Thank you.

Michael Scott: While you're calling, I'll fix us a drink.
Julia Richardson: Oh no, please don't bother.

Michael Scott: Bet you'd like a brandy.

Michael Scott: Dead?

Michael Scott: Oh no, wretched Continental telephones.

Julia Richardson: Nothing.
Michael Scott: I'll, uh, trying the extension in the bedroom.
[Michael heads into his bedroom]
Michael Scott: Sometimes, it's just the one line that's gone.

Michael Scott: Hello? Can you here me?
Julia Richardson: No.
Michael Scott: I can't here you, either.
[Scott hangs up the telephone]
Michael Scott: Must be dead, too.
