- A hilarious satire revolving around a complex family headed by an eccentric patriarch, nicknamed "Dear Uncle Napoleon," who rules over his relatives with an iron fist and constant wisecracks.
- The story takes place during the Allied occupation of Iran in World War II . Most of the scenes occur at the narrator's home. Daii-jan (Dear Uncle) is an elderly officer in Colonel Vladimir Liakhov 's Cossack brigade who greatly admires the exploits of Napoleon Bonaparte . His Anglophobia leads him to constantly believe he is being hunted by the English. His valet, Mash Qassem, shares his master's nightmares. The three families live in a large house on the former Laleh-Zar Avenue , a magnificent thoroughfare in the 1940s. The narrator, Saeed, a young high school student in love with his cousin Layli, is preoccupied by a series of family conflicts between his father, Agha Jan, his dear uncle , and Daii-jan Sarhang (the colonel uncle), which threaten his love. He must do everything he can to prevent Layli's arranged marriage to her cousin Puri, the colonel uncle's son.—@Filmnegah
- An uproarious adaptation of a popular novel of the same name by Iraj Pezeshkzad. set in around the family compound in early 1940s Tehran. Shows characters that are marvelously rich in personality. The title character, so-called because of his constant invocation of the general, rules over a wonderfully complex extended family. A hilarious series which makes fun of just about everything.—Kaaveh
