    Sugar Time Needed to Grow

This was a real viable, sweet, funny show. "Sugar Time" just needed more time to grow and be seen. It was given 13 episodes and had some ok writers. The talent was there and it had a Three's Company or Laverne and Shirley type vibe. All three leads-Barbi, Didi and Marianne did a very good job, but direction could have been better and scripts upped a notch or two. Marianne Black was exceptional. She would probably be terrific on stage in a comedy like Play It Again, Sam or a musical like Guys and Dolls as Adelaide. She had that natural down to earth quality for children's tv as well, if she had been given the chance. What if? Oh well. All three young female stars didn't really become household names. Too bad.
