    Good

A bit scattered trying to include a few subplots (eg anxious TV anchor, sick ball club owner, lovesick sports groupie) but still very interesting.

    Typical of the seventies stuff

I would have expected some comments for this TV film. After all, it is directed by Andrew McLaglen, a Hollywood vet, who gave us many westerns and adventure movies a bit in the John Ford style. This feature sounds familiar for those who like seventies thrillers and crime dramas; especially the disaster movies like thrillers. Think for instance of ROLLER COASTER or TWO MINUTE WARNING, with always many suspense atmospheres and different people - mostly guest stars from the old Hollywood era - shown at the beginning and whose fates will collide further in the story. And of course a psychopath. I won't repeat the topic above, it would be useless, but I liked this movie. I admit that I love seventies. This is a pretty good time waster. Effective, sharp, a good piece of work with many surprising moments. It is far better than the Lenny Maltin's rate said, which is below average.

    • Trivia
KTRK-TV sportscaster Bob Allen (1976 - 2016) has a cameo appearance as a sports reporter in the Astros locker room; in real life, the Houston Astros did win the World Series on November 1, 2017 against the L.A. Dodgers but the Astros home games are played at Minute Maid Park (formerly Enron Field prior to 2002) since the 2000 season.
    • Goofs
When Cisco is attempting to put the Bomb on Kathy and she resists, she is handcuffed with only her right wrist. The other cuff is handcuffed to the clear leg of a table. After giving up on making her wear the bomb, Cisco places the bomb back in the cabinet. As he turns back to Kathy, both her wrists are now cuffed, and the chain is placed behind the table leg, not cuffed to it.
    • Crazy credits
The motion picture you are about to see is a work of fiction. It does not reflect the opinions, attitudes or policies of the Houston Astros to whom we are deeply grateful.
