    Effective British stuff.

It's really a very rare movie, a TV movie actually. Directed by Clive Donner, it takes place in Scotland, in the first decade of the twentieth century, and tells us the story of a detective hired by a wealthy man to investigate of three people disappearance. Our lead begins his task and has to face off with some high society - wealthy too - people, in men's clubs, where he will discover very weird things happening here. Things around occultism and paranormal activities in order to monitoring human souls. And then he will find some details leading him to the hostages.

Some times this story is a bit boring, the viewer can fall asleep, as the lead in one or two sequences, but the whole feature, after viewing it, is fairly interesting. Especially the ending.

    Catch it if you can.
