            OK, I was a kid

This was the first Saturday afternoon Black-Belt Theater movie I remember watching. I thought (at 10 or 11) that this was really Bruce Lee, and was surprised when I was older and looking for it when I was buying VHS tapes of Bruce Lee's actual movies to find this wasn't one of them. It was only years after that that I found it on Youtube and rewatched it. Bruce Li, (not Lee) was one of a dozen wanna-be imitations, but had the best look of any of them. His kung-fu scenes are good, and he wasn't bad in the non-fighting scenes, either.

Yuet-Sang Chin was the funnier one, but with the tragic story, and he portrays it well.

Good fight scenes, the villain is typical, and the American was an interesting twist- unusual for the BBT movies. Its a fun movie, worth a watch.

            Saturday afternoon classic

This was one of the first kung fu movies my little brother and I saw on TV, also along with "Kid with the Golden Arm" and "Executioners of Shaolin". The cheese factor is high, but the action is high-octane. This movie was made in the prime of Hong Kong's cookie-cutter formula era and doesn't get REAL creative in terms of story. Some really rough camera work and editing makes it look like some scenes were done on the fly, but the action was what made it stick in my memory. The choreography is a little stiff in some places, but the on-screen energy and overall fight count make it fluff entertainment to some and a classic to others. In general, it's a must see for the nostalgically inclined and die-hard kung fu fans, but probably a let down for the younger generations who are used to modern HK offerings and the Matrix.

            Not bad.....yet not that good

I found this movie hard to follow, i could not determine who the main character was, was it the bruce lee look alike? or the new stranger in town, or is it the villains? .. i don't know Overall the kung fu wasn't that bad, yet wasn't that good either, there were a few flaws with the camera work and the fight scenes amongst other things.

Its a good surprise seeing Bolo Yeung in this film if only for a short cameo and the Bruce lee lookalike looked REALLY good.... looks/body/face and mannerisms...

The film had some funny parts towards the end with the main boss and the stereo type fat guy. I came away feeling sad that a Bruce lee Look a like seemed out of place and only put in to sell more tickets and that the story was hard to follow and the ending seemed a little anti-climatic. Besides that... it was pretty Average.
