- Jeremitt: [after running from the maurader attack with Cindel, Jeremitt finds a hiding spot to rest. He has been hit in the shoulder by a laser blast] Are you all right, sweetheart?
- Cindel: Mmm hmm. Mommy, Mace, they're dead.
- Jeremitt: I know. But we need to be strong now. You remember the song your mother sings to you about the little bird?
- Cindel: [nods] Mmm hmm.
- Jeremitt: Well, I'm going to need you to be strong like that little bird. Now, I want you to run, and find Deej, and the Ewoks will help you.
- Cindel: No Daddy, I want to stay here with you!
- Jeremitt: Now listen to me. You will do as I say. Now, when I say go, you run. Run hard and fast, and don't look back.
- [hugs his daughter tightly]
- Jeremitt: Cindel, I will always be with you! I love you!
- [the mauraders are closing in on Jeremitt and Cindel's position. Jeremitt loudly whispers to Cindel...]
- Jeremitt: Cindel, go! Run fast, just run, run!
- [runs out of the hiding spot to draw the mauraders attention. He shoots one of them and runs in the opposite direction Cindel is, to get them to chase him instead of her. The mauraders give chase, shooting at Jeremitt, mortally wounding him. The last we see of Jeremitt is his arm trying to raise up from where he has fallen and then slumping over, dead]
- Terak: [the mauraders have captured Jeremitt outside of his crashed star cruiser and are holding him prisoner. The leader, King Terak, approaches Jeremitt, roughly brings him to his feet and slams him against the side of the star cruiser] You have the power? You will give it to me, now!
- Jeremitt: I don't have any power! My family and I, we're stangers here!
- Terak: You will give me the power now!
- Jeremitt: I don't know what you're talking about!
- Terak: [one of the mauraders has entered the star cruiser, pulled the power cell, and hands it to Terak] Ah!
- Jeremitt: Oh, no! No, Please don't take that! Uhhh!
- [Terak has backhanded Jeremitt with his forearm, knocking him back into the star cruiser, and down]
