Faasle (1985)

Trivia

Faasle

Edit
Dev Anand wanted to cast Farah in one of his film but Farah's mother rejected when Yash Chopra was making Faasle he asked Dev Anand to suggest some names and he suggested Farah's name.
Farah's mother was not ready to allow her to work in films after rejecting Dev Anand's film she also rejected Yash Chopra for Faasle but she was then convinced by Shabana Azmi their close family relative.
Sunil Dutt was happy with the script but after watching the film, he felt disappointed. The same happened with Yash Chopra's Parampara (1993) where he worked with him last time which also failed.
Sunil Dutt used to ate raw onions as he had to gave romantic scenes with Rekha. During the scenes, he was very vigilant that Rekha should not feel uncomfortable.
This is the first and last time, Sunil Dutt did a romantic film after his wife's death. Otherwise his most of the films were social based or melodramatic. During his wife's treatment, he lost all his earnings and worked in films alongwith social work.
