Lead actor Charles Taylor first played David Dalton in Knight Rider (1982) for Season 2 episode 22, the double length/TV movie Mouth of the Snake (1984); that was designed to launch a spin-off starring Dalton, the first movie, Code of Vengeance (1985), was the first attempt.
