Goofs

Way Down East

Edit

Continuity

Around the 1 hr and 38 minute mark, Martha visits the Squire and encounters Anna at the door. She enters the room and gives Anna a disapproving look. Behind Anna is the door. When the view changes to a long shot of the room, Martha is still engaging with Anna, but now both are to the left of the door instead of standing in front of it.
Around minute 36, when people are sleeping, a boy is using a fan to cool a man, the scene shows that the boy falls asleep due to the heat, but in the sequence shows a close up to the cat falling asleep as well while the boy, who is sleeping, moves the fan, the next cut shows the boy sleeping and the cat awake.

Character error

When the professor visits Kate, she stands up from the chair next to the fireplace, greets him and her foot gets stuck in her dress. then the actress moves her head watching the crew or the director in joy, possibly the director ordered to follow the scene.
