Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard in Three Pests in a Mess (1945)

Goofs

Three Pests in a Mess

Edit

Continuity

After Moe douses Christine McIntyre with a bucket of water an gets her accomplices to chase the Stooges; she suddenly shows back up completely dry in the same outfit.
When Christine McIntyre first tears off Curly's second shirt, there is shirt tail hanging out in the front of the third shirt. When the scene cuts to her tearing the third shirt off, the shirt tail is no longer hanging out.
The ink stains on Larry's suit disappear in the next scene after Moe slaps him.

Factual errors

Curly miscalculates $100,000 as the value of 100 flies at a penny per fly. The correct figure is 10,000.

(There are 100 pennies in a dollar. 100 flies at a penny each would have a value of one dollar ($1.00). 10,000 flies would have a value of $100.00. 1,000,000 (one million) flies would have to be collected to earn $10,000.00 at a penny a fly. To get $100,000.00, ten million flies would have to be collected.)
When Curly talk to Moe after he shoots the mannequin with an action rifle, he shoots the hat of a guy standing at the window. This is not possible as action rifles can shots can only be fired one at a time and require a new bullet.

Miscellaneous

When Curly is carrying the mannequin, in a sack, in the pet cemetery, the hand sticking out of the top more resembles a live person's hand than a mannequin's, because it curves slightly on his head instead of lying flat.

Crew or equipment visible

The wire is visible on the mannequin when it is thrown in and out of the hole.
