Street Fighter
Street Fighter 2 is the video game that made me a fan of fighting games and to see anime based off my favorite fighting game series I am all for it.
Street Fighter 2 V takes a interesting take on this beloved fighting game and make it something worth your while.
The show features fan favorites like Ryu, Ken Masters, Guile, Chun Li, Cammy, M.Bison, Vega, Dhalsim, Zangief and others.
Now I only seen the US dubbed take of the show but this is one of the few anime shows from Japan that actually made the dubbing work with of course different lines but never the less each character was timed perfectly with their voice actors.
I love the intro theme to the show it gets you pump up for the show and the opening is very well done with your favorite characters battling during the intro.
The music helps the series as it serves meaning to each episode.
The voice acting is very good and again the actors timed their dubbing very well. The writing is good as well for the series you have to be a fan of Street Fighter to better enjoy the series.
Plus the series is full of action and any fan of Street Fighter would enjoy it.My personal favorite characters in Street Fighter are Guile and Chun LI
All in all Street Fighter 2 V is a very good series for fans and should be watch by any fan.

If this is what cartoons are like in Japan, put me on the boat, I'm going.
I've purchased every one of the videos for this series, and am thoroughly impressed. I saw the animated movie first, and thought I'd check the show out too, and found that the show is much better. Some of the best fighting animation I've seen with the exception of Voltage Fighters.
Great series but Street Fighter Game Tv series in 1996 is better
The IMDB has only 1 series for Sf but thats incorrect theres another tv series that came in 96 produced by USA Studios in fact I am watching the Spanish version of it here in my country Nicaragua. The action is just as great, but animation is alot better characters look smoother, older and more graceful. This series is just as good as 95 series check them both out.
A bit slow plot-wise, but great fighting scenes
That's basically the only flaw of this anime series, the plot is fairly slow to develop, I guess by choice, since it's a series made of several episodes, but aside from that, it's a great view. Very nice artwork, and cool fighting scenes.
Cool, Anime' gets a fine treatment in this Street Fighter
"Street Fighter II: V" is cool. It's been a while (since about 1994) from when I last played the video games but this animated series, done in true Japanese Anime' style, remains tasteful and respectful to the source material. But still, obviously it was meant to cash in on the "Street Fighter" craze of the early '90s. Ken and Ryu are two fighters who have trained together since childhood and embark on a worldwide odyssey to learn the secrets to fighting. They encounter many friends and enemies (including Chinese babe Chun-Li and American military hard-a** Guile) and run afoul of martial arts-trained nasties including ruthless dictator M. Bison. The "Street Fighter" movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme wasn't cool, but this piece of animation takes the cake. It's just too cool.

- TriviaIn some episodes throughout the series, if you look hard enough, you will be able to see Akuma, another Street Fighter character.
- GoofsFor those that are not familiar with the Japanese language. Ryu's name is pronounced (Ree-you), not (Rye-you). Also Ryu is a direct translation meaning Dragon in Japanese, thus making Ken's and Ryu's signature move Sho-ryu-ken literally translating Rising Dragon Punch.
- Quotes
Ryu: [Looking at Samurai armor] Wow. Ancient Japanese battle armor.
Ken Masters: Yeah. My father is into the Japanese culture.
Ryu: Oh yeah. I remember now. Your mother is Japanese.
