I do not understand this act. I found it very difficult to watch. Seinfeld is really overrated as a comic. I do not really understand how he became so successful. His show was awesome but he easily isn't the funniest person on the show. He's kind of funny, I suppose. But those skits were so weird. It just seems like he has his act down so much that it looks like, well, an act. Even the questions at the end that he was asked even looked scripted. It's a wonder how he's successful and other comedians out there are not.
I rented this and loved it. If you enjoyed Seinfeld on Broadway, you will also enjoy seeing Jerry in this, except here he's a little younger. This is a completely different set than he does in "Telling You for the Last Time" and it runs for about 50 minutes. This one is unique however because there are little segments in which he adresses the camera and acts out sequences which coincide with the standup topic. They usually involve him pretending to be himself as a kid or teaching kids in a classroom about the mysteries of Dads. It was a great find and good to see Jerry in action again.
"Have you ever been on an airplane?" Gosh, Jerry is just so brilliant, I do not know if I can comprehend his depth and intelligence. He also talks about pets and relatives. Sheer brilliance.
Sometimes I think he might even rival the talents of Carrot Top. But I doubt it.
Suck.
