Sweet Deception 1998 - 90's Thriller , Joanna Pacula
The storyline is exceptionally well-crafted for a made-for-TV thriller of its era. The film builds its mystery with steady tension, layering clues and motives in a way that makes you constantly question who can be trusted. The plot develops into a clever murder-mystery twist that feels true to the classic whodunnit style while still offering something fresh and unexpected.
What impressed me most was the suspenseful atmosphere. The film maintains a moody, almost claustrophobic tone that perfectly captures the thriller vibe of the late 90s. There's a persistent sense of unease that keeps you guessing right up until the final reveal, and the direction does a great job enhancing that tension without relying on cheap tricks.
Overall, Sweet Deception is both entertaining and engaging, with strong performances, especially from Pacula, and a storyline that delivers exactly what a mystery thriller should. It kept me invested in discovering who the killer really was, and the payoff was well worth it. An excellent film in its genre absolutely a 100/100 for me.
Just awful

- GoofsThe badge that Detective Molloy shows to the two CHP officers at the petrol station does not appear to be that of a San Francisco police inspector - it looks more like a bad for the LAPD. Detective Molloy, however, was investigating the murder in Nob Hill, which does come under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Police Department.
